Dissappointed with this hotel on several counts. The cooked breakfast buffet was only warm, and only cold plates provided which meant breakfast had to be eaten as quickly as possible. Our room – a “classic double king” also was not up to the hotel’s 4 star category. Quite basic and cold – no air con in the room during the day with no instructions provided. The wardrobe was a joke. This contained a safe and a fridge with almost no room for clothes. Also, no coat hooks in the room to hang our outdoor clothes. No bottled water was provided. No shelf for our toiletries in the shower and a hand rail would have been useful. This bathing experience wasn’t helped by there being two power cuts – one while my disabled husband was in the shower. Also, to my amazement, we were informed the next morning that the rooms are serviced only every other day which is not what you would expect from a 4 star hotel. |BUT - on a positive note, the staff were friendly and helpful, especially Elena who recommended for us various places to visit which was helpful.

We stayed at this charming, unique hotel this weekend, four friends having a spa session and dinner plus overnight stay, and we ate (late) at the Brasserie. We had a number of complex food intolerances and were extremely pleasantly surprised by the incredibly patient and proactive way in which our waitress Holly helped to solve each request and issue in turn. Nothing was too much trouble - she was warm, helpful and thoughtful, even anticipating issues and providing advance solutions.

The hotel itself is a feast for the eyes - beautiful colours and design everywhere, quirky and classy, and so much nicer than a generic chain hotel! the rooms were just as beautiful as the communal areas, and the spa was a joy. We had a lovely walk along the river on Sunday morning, and could not recommend the whole place highly enough!

Excellent last minute visit for a meal. |Warm and friendly welcome from Elena on reception. Really helpful in finding us a table and a lovely disposition. |Our host Stacy was lovely! She made sure everything was as we wanted. Food was brought out in good time, and was tasty (wouldn’t rush to have the sundae again, it wasn’t great, but the soup, and garlic & herb chicken was delicious). |Looking forward to visiting again.

From the grand entrance to the warm welcome, beautiful decor and amazing food!

The bar was well stocked with a great choice of quality drinks at a quite reasonable price.

The vibe in the bar area and restaurant was spot on, definitely a great spot for meeting with friends and perfect for a date night.

I had the full rack of ribs, the meat literally fell off the bone, my wife had the steak that melted in the mouth!

Our server was knowledgeable and attentive and Andrew the manager was the perfect host!

Will definitely be returning, in all a fantastic evening.

Me and my friend came for a 2 hour thermal spa day with afternoon tea and we had a lovely time. The spa was so beautiful, it’s the first spa I’ve been to where everything was really aesthetically pleasing. The changing rooms were pristine too which is so important!
When you walk into the spa you get given iced lemon water which is exactly what you want then you get to enjoy the spa for two hours. You are able to order drinks too the spa too which we did and the lovely lady didn’t charge us as it was my friends birthday which is so lovely!
The afternoon tea at Anna’s also didn’t disappoint, unlimited tea and coffee comes with the afternoon tea and the food was absolutely brilliant, would definitely recommend!

I had my 50th Party this weekend here in The coach room which had been beautifully decorated to feel warm but decadent….. with a cloak room, dance floor and its own entrance and bar …. from set up to - to the end of the night the staff worked very hard to make sure everything was perfect! They did so in a friendly and professional manner & we had a great time! The chefs food was also great & well received. Some of us also stayed and had great rooms overlooking the gorgeous River and a great breakfast in the morning …..brilliant experience would recommend

5 Stars for Thermal Spa.
I recently attended the ladies-only spa session at the Bedford Swan Hotel on a Monday evening, and it was absolutely amazing. From 6-8pm, the spa is exclusively for women, and for just £30, you get two hours of pure relaxation and luxury.
For public its open every day, can be booked online in their website.
(Parking is free if you get ur car register at reception.)
The facilities are excellent, including a spacious jacuzzi pool, a sauna with a beautiful salt wall, a steam lounge, and a standard steam room. There were also various shower rooms, each offering unique and wonderful experiences. Towels and bathrobes were provided, which added to the comfort and ease of the visit.
Changing room have locks and basic toiletries provided. (Shampoo,conditioner, soap and hand/ body lotion)
The service was top-notch—staff were incredibly helpful, welcoming, and attentive throughout. You can even order drinks of your choice, or enjoy refreshing orange/lemon-infused water from the pitcher they provide. It was the perfect touch to a relaxing evening.

We had an amazing ladies’ night out, and I can’t recommend this experience enough. I’m so glad I went, and I’ll definitely be returning!

Myself and my partner just wanted to take this moment to say a massive thank you to Katy and the amazing staff at the Swan Hotel. They truly went above and beyond to accommodate us with a spectacular wedding reception at the last minute after the major flooding caused our wedding to be cancelled. We can't express how grateful we are that they were able to provide us with 15 lovely rooms and a hall for us to celebrate our special evening. Katy was so polite, professional and helpful throughout the whole process, making everything so much easier for us during such a stressful time. We're incredibly thankful for their support and kindness!
