Such a warm and friendly welcome. Very comfortable room, but it’s the small touches that make this place stand out for me. The whiskey and sloe gin available for guests to help themselves to in the corridor, the quality tea, coffee and biscuits and the fan in the room. Small touches but ones that show the Bel and Dragon cares about their guests. Thanks go to all the team.

Really disappointing dinner. This has previously been a favour of ours but it’s definitely gone downhill. We told our waitress that our starters were substandard but they were not taken off the bill and no one came to talk to us. The main course says and puddings were very average and small. The food is on the expensive side so you expect to be delighted but unfortunately, this was not the case. On previous visits the restaurant has been packed and buzzing, but sadly there was just us and one other table. I emailed to complain afterwards and was offered a complimentary drink on our next visit. There will not be a next visit.

We stayed for a single night after a day at the races nearby. We enjoyed our stay - room a little noisy as near the kitchen extractor, but otherwise a good stay in a comfortable room. We had both dinner and breakfast which were very good. We ate in the pretty garden. Staff excellent - very professional. Good choice of food and lots of nice drink to choose from. Great location in pretty village near the river.

We had a lovely one night stay at the Bel and Dragon. Managed to park right outside the main door - no restrictions. Warm welcome and we were shown to our room and told the story about the names of the rooms being linked to the wives and mistress's of Stanley Spencer! Fabulous bathroom and super king size bed - very comfy and we slept extremely well. Had a very enjoyable dinner and the breakfast the following morning was superb. Staff all very friendly and helpful. Fabulous old building full of character and quirkiness - we loved it!

Went with family on a Saturday night for dinner. Great looking old coaching in vibes. Food and service were excellent. Our waitress “Tori ?” was friendly and very helpful especially with my young daughter. Lots of variety on the menu. Will definitely revisit again

Booked here for lunch on Bank Holiday Monday, unfortunately service was terrible even though it wasn't particularly busy. Had to get up from the table on multiple occasions to go and find a waiter as no one came to take our order. Forgot our drinks, had to ask three times for tap water before it arrived, had to go and ask for the bill then no one came to take payment. Staff didn't seem to care - overall not the best experience!
