Phenomenal sourdough pizzas here at the cafe. Generous toppings, genuine sourdough base and great ingredients baked fresh to order. You won’t get a better pizza in Devon.

We travelled here to buy some bits for Sunday lunch Inc beef, wine, broth, veg for a stew, we decided to eat in the cafe before. We walked in and only wanted a pasty and coffee so I decided to wait in line at the till as my wife found somewhere to sit. The staff looked unhappy and the general atmosphere you could cut with a knife, various situations going on around us it was like a scene from a carry on film. Customer jumping the the line telling us they go there every day so they don't need to wait waving cups around at staff..we ordered food at 11.50 and were told its a 15 minute wait at 12.20 I asked where the food was and was told we don't start lunch until 12.25 ....the pastys were in a glass warming cabinet and when we ordered we were told we know you can see them in there but the chefs on his break. We ended up getting a refund and went home without spending anything in the shop. It was absolute disaster. Never again.

Wonderful creative food in the cafe.
Soup was a meal in itself with a hearty delicious dhal served with warmed bread. Really good pies such as curried crab or sausage roll. Great coffee. Cheerful staff. Good value. Highly recommended

Calm, rustic atmosphere. A distinct and quality freshness to the food which I appreciate. Great carrot cake and brownie was scrumptious. Honourable mention for the steak and ale pie which tasted deliciously fresh. Great coffee too.

Shop, eat, drink... Very hard not to do all 3 here even if just popping in for something quick... Great range of produce and great neighbouring businesses too with products for the home and garden

Popped in on my way home to have a look around and I came across their veggie pasty and it was reduced so even better. Now I have to say since becoming veggi I have really struggled with finding a pasty that is just a meat free pasty but omg this pasty was THE pasty I have been looking for for a few years . It was like having a good old fashion pasty without the meat I am so happy to have finally found you .

Loving eating and shopping here. Such choice and fresh produce, it's a foodie's paradise ! Sandwiches now on the menu and wow are they so good ! Today had the Chargrilled Mediterranean vegetables with halloumi toasted on brown, and a tasty salad garnish. Flavours and texture superb. Will return very soon.
