Romantic pre-Christmas vacation CHECK! What a lovely hotel this is. Me and partner were given a great deal and we're so glad we took it. ||This hotel is about 7 minutes from the train station by taxi. When you arrive you will be pleasantly surprised. It's a lovely looking hotel just outside of the center (which you can walk in less than 10 minutes) and although the reception area isn't great, the rest of the hotel (especially the bar and reading room) are really nicely furnished and comfortable 😀||Included in our deal (not everyone will get this) was a suite which was on the ground floor and it was fantastic. Tastefully furnished and clean (like you wouldn't believe) we were really impressed. ||We had breakfast included with waitress service. The breakfast was much better than your average hotel buffet breakfast. Service was good, food was good (although we ate out for dinner so didn't try the evening meal) hotel was lovely and warm and comfortable and clean. It was a great stay. ||If you travel to Norwich I would recommend this as an option to stay for sure if the walk into town centre doesn't phase you. ||Oh! The Christmas decorations were a thing of beauty. Whoever was responsible really went waaay over the top but it was great 👍

Nice hotel and well positioned, with parking. Staff attentive and pleasant. Breakfast was a bit lacklustre, but not bad. I had an issue with street lighting illuminating the room at night (#41). It kept me awake, black-out blinds are needed. The receptionist appeared to acknowledge my concern.

We have just got home from a 2 night post Christmas break and we couldn't have enjoyed it more. From check in to check out our whole experience was 1st class, the room was warm, cosy, immaculate and the bed was super comfy. We enjoyed the evening meal so much we ended up eating in the restaurant both nights instead of venturing into Norwich. The breakfast was amazing, quality food, absolutely delicious and the table service just made it. All of the staff were friendly and helpful but a special mention to Emily, a friendly, helpful duty manager who clearly enjoys her job! Thank you so much, neither of us were ready to leave this morning and we are already planning a return visit. Would highly recommend x

The bar and restaurant looked nice, although we didn't use them. Our bathroom and bedroom were dated. The hotel is extremely convenient for the city. We parked easily on our Friday afternoon arrival, just squeezed in on Saturday evening and the surrounding area is all permit parking.

All five of us had our own room, all situated together in the main house and one had a room with a shower which was located just outside. Breakfast choice was good and we also had our evening meal there each night. The menu for the evening meal did not change but there were 2 vegetarian options and what looked like a good selection otherwise. There were two main lounges and a small, well stocked bar. Also a garden with seating. |The hotel was a short-ish walk from town and a bus stop was just opposite. |A good choice for a stay in Norwich.

Nice building and grounds well kept. It is positioned on the A 11 but the traffic noise not to bad.
Room large and clean. Possibly in need of few updates, but not to bad.
We didn't eat there.

Good location for Norwich, good parking (would be if all guests park nicely). Staff very friendly and helpful, reception took the time to find me a garden from gardener world to vist.
Our problem was with the bathroom which needs improvement. Hot water in sink not in bath or shower, luke warm at best. Bathroom door would not shut properly and the shower curtain did not fit. Signs asked you to keep in bath when this in not possible. The bathroom/ no hot water spoiled the stay.
