Nice clean modern hall, lovely atrium modern lobby. Clean rooms - nice and cool in temperature not stuff and warm like many hotels. Huge beds. Friendly staff. At breakfast we were allocated a coffee table and soft chairs for our family of 6, so a little uncomfortable for the 2 elderly members to eat 9would have preferer to be seated at a table. But overall good experience - would def come back!

The shower in my room was intentionally designed without a shelf to hold your soap and shampoo, which meant I had to step out of the shower several times to use those items, leaving a puddle across the entire floor. i have back problems so I can't stretch across to reach them. The shower didn't drain well at all, and I thought it would overrun the short lip around the stall. I told the front desk and they had it cleared, and it drained well after that. The kettle in the room was rusted all the way around it. Other than that, it was a normal, clean room. The bed was very comfortable. I liked the design and furnishings, lots of low key earthtone colors, good overdone at all. On site restaurant is pretty good and the service is excellent.

2 night stay here. Very clean, comfortable well equipped room. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good cooked to order breakfast.||Ideal location for visiting Chelmsford within 10 minutes walk of city centre and railway station.||Only draw back was our room faced onto, but set back from, a main road. Noticeable, but not intrusive traffic noise during rush hours

Room was nice, although the plinth was missing under the shower. Noisy at night with people coming and going all the time or smoking outside the door and the hotel is designed around this entrance and the carpark so will affect lots of rooms. Big bed but two singles strapped together so end up stuck in the middle and the pillows were hard. Breakfast was OK. Dinner was average but not expensive. There seemed to be mild on the garnish on the side of my plate. Staff seemed friendly enough. I wouldn't go back.

The rooms were nice, but not very clean. The bed was horrible. To matesses put together to make a bigger bed. Really uncomfortable. Shower room was a little small and not cleaned. As I nearly slipped over on. As for the breakfast. Save your money, walk the 5 min round the corner and enjoy a fast food breakfast. The bacon was uncooked, the eggs had grease dripping off them. The milk was left out in the sun. I would not recommend the breakfast at all.

This hotel is full of families who have been evacuated from Afghanistan - I don't object to that but as such it is very noisy and full of young children running up and down the corridors until late at night, balls being bounced on the floor above etc. As a business traveller it is imposible to concentrate on work in an evening because of the noise. The reception staff are fabulous and are trying to sort things out.

Have stayed here with work for the past 6 months for approx 2 days per week. Hotel is generally to a really good level. The staff are very helpful and will do everything they can to help. The rooms are split into two. The refurbished rooms are good but the rooms yet to be refurbished definitely need work. Breakfasts are fine and the meals at the hotel restaurant are decent

We had an excellent and comfortable stay. Front desk and restaurant staff was very courteous and helpful. Rooms for disable persons may be further improved by making shower facilities more accessible for them. Location of the hotel is good as provide easy drive into Chelmsford and other neighbouring towns. Good halal and vegetarian options available on breakfast as well as from onsite Italian restaurant
