Great location, although a bit isolated there's lovely views and walks from the hotel. The staff were great, very friendly. Facilities were good, gym, swim, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. Breakfadt great and very good value for money. The hotel is undergoing refurbishment and is looking great. Our room was a good size, bed really comfy. Woukd highly recommended and will he back in the future.

Room was absolutely boiling hot. Having the window open the 10cm that it allows made almost no difference, except dor making it even more noisy! The hotel appears to be a hang out for rebrobates revving cars and motorbikes until very late at night. On top of the that, guests with kids were running up and down the small grass area outside our window until gone midnight, shouting and swearing and in some cases shouting random racial slurs.|After it eventually went quiet, we were too hot to sleep and quit at 3am. Had a cuppa and left for home.|So much for a good night’s sleep. |The more expensive rooms are cooler and have a fridge. We had a 1980s style peach bathroom suite too ewww!|One positive of this hotel are the staff. All polite and happy and helpful. That goes for all of them that we met, including the night porter.|We went for steaks for dinner, blue. They were not blue, but rare, but were still actually really nice. Add a good pile of frozen chips, a smallish mushroom and despite being told onion rings - they were extra. No danger of you getting your 5 a day here, dont worry lol.|Lovely views towards Stanlow and I am genuinely meaning that. The refinery is there but this location is on the edge of the refinery industry and despite that it is a lovely spot.|Needs upgrading, which they are doing, but it needs to be done much quicker or it will be a constant process.|Needs a tonne of money tjrowing at it, and ditch the riff raff after dark brigade as I have this twice now. Last time I complaied and it made zero difference.|You get most of your customers because the other hotels arround are ‘even worse”. I have tried them all.|Please try to be the best around, rather than the least poor.

Being woken up twice by the reception was the highlight. First by banging on my door at 12:30am, then at 1:15am by calling the room telephone to tell me 'TO BE QUIET'. Hilarious. If they had come to my room and actually listened they would have realised there was zero sound as I was asleep.
I spoke to the reception the next day and they didn't seem to care. Doesn't surprise me really. Emailed management to see if they could give me some response before I posted a review - no reply.
Won't be staying again.

Nice hotel in a pleasant location. Good size family room, comfy beds and large bathroom. Dinner and breakfast were freshly cooked and tasty. The restaurant was light and airy with good views. Prices reasonable. Use of the pool was a bonus. We would happily return.

We had a very enjoyable one night stay here. Our room was clean and modern but missing a toilet roll holder, but as they are in the middle of refurbishing the rooms let it go. The main restaurant was closed so breakfast was served elsewhere, had a good selection, but could have been a bit warmer, hence only 4 stars. Plenty of parking. Once the main foyer is refurbished it will look very smart. Plenty to do in the area.

Clean rooms and public areas, tidy, well maintained. Great breakfast friendly staff.easy walk in Frodsham with great links to Chester and Liverpool. Location has some stunning breezy views. Car park was big and plenty of room. Function suite was well staffed and the bar sufficient.

When we finally found the hotel after driving around for sometime due to lack of signage, we were impressed with it's location. After checking in we found our room it was a good size but the bathroom a bit small, and both the bedroom and bathroom was very clean and tidy. We were staying for several nights and always found the breakfast to be of good quality and plenty of choice and the hot breakfast was always warm and the fresh fruit salad was a nice mixture. We ate a couple of times in the evening and it was typical pub grub but well presented and tasty.|All the staff were cheerful, friendly and helpful. |We found it a bit strange that the towels were in the wardrobe, and there was no towel rail, toilet roll holder and know were to put your wash bag, nor was there a shaver point.|We found all pillows to be very lumpy.|We could see the room had been upgraded but the carpets had not.|In the breakfast/dining room we found some of the tables very sticky due to the materials used to wipe down.|Overall we enjoyed our stay here although some of the hotel a little dates, but it all takes money and time to upgrade everything.

We recently came here for a meal with visiting family who were staying in the hotel. The first thing I will say is the food was very good and we all enjoyed what we had. The prices are a little expensive but that is to be expected at a hotel. Now the reason for the 2 star review is that the staff were frankly rude and unpleasant on our entry into the restaurant. Apparently this also happened in the morning at breakfast as well. When we asked for the bill it was brought to us and instead of letting us look at it, discuss who was paying etc the guy stood over us like we were some kind of flight risk. We often have relatives staying at hotels locally and they stayed here to give the hotel a second chance as they didn't like it the first time, after this experience they will not be staying again and we will not be using the restaurant or facilities again.
