We visited for Sunday lunch which we have previously been and the food was excellent with a service unbeatable. Unfortunately at the last visit we were disappointed. The meat was somewhat tough and ordered mash potato at an extra cost. This never arrived, trying to find the attention of the waiters was impossible. The food overall was ok at best, portion sizes have reduced. The puddings looked amazing however they were frozen and tasted as such. We opted at our choice to skip the starter but would be charged for 3 courses. We paid in total £67 for 2 Sunday lunches and frozen desserts which did not reflect value for money. We left feeling disappointed and did not reflect the standard you would normally expect.

A beautiful hotel in a parkland setting with ample free parking. We were met by Ruth on reception who checked us in and went through timings for the restaurant etc. Our room - a Junior Suite was massive with a very modern bathroom which was spotless, plenty of good quality towels and a walk in shower. The bed was extremely comfortable and there were two sofas which enabled good views from the various windows. Tea/coffee, bottled water was well presented (top-ups available from reception). The restaurant was excellent and the restaurant manager, Michael, and his staff were friendly, courteous and efficient. The food was excellent quality and beautifully presented. Everywhere was extremely clean and well kept - thanks to the housekeeping staff and no doubt an excellent handyman. We stayed here whilst visiting family and it is in such a good location we will be staying here again in the near future.

We’ve just had a perfect wedding at the Mount Pleasant hotel, the whole experience was superb. My new wife and I stayed in the Taitinger spa suite, which was superb. Many of our guests stayed over and they all commented on how spacious and clean their rooms were. The only slight downside was noise in the corridors during the night which bothered some, but we weren’t affected.|The food and staff in the restaurant are both of a high standard. We noticed that this hotel doesn’t seem to be affected by a lack of staff, which is something that seems to be commonplace nowadays. That really makes a difference to your experience.|The wedding experience at this hotel was perfect and we would recommend it to anyone thinking about booking their wedding there. Paige, their wedding coordinator is excellent, as are all of the staff who work efficiently to make your day so special. Ross in particular was also excellent and although the hotel hosts many weddings they still managed to make ours feel special and unique. The whole day went seamlessly with fantastic food and service throughout.|Thank you so much, we will be back!

My wife and I have stayed here several times over the past year, but the rest of my family (parents, brother sister and their other halves) have only popped in for drinks on Boxing Day when we have been spending Christmas in Residence at Rossington Hall.||As my wife and I were at The Ritz for her milestone birthday, and we missed my sisters birthday and brothers wedding anniversary whist we were away, I suggested we all met up and stayed over.||I booked 4 Junior Suites on the Romantic Stay package, with champagne and chocolates in each room.||We all arrived and checked in, then met in my parents room to have some drinks and a catch up. Check in was smooth, even though I had a multiple booking in my name, it didn't take long for others to give their details.||All junior suites are very spacious - we don't stay in less than this grade of room, but I am sure that they are all nice.||Everyone loved the hotel, the room and the lovely food. I have never had a bad meal, and tend to alternate from choosing of the DBB menu, and using the allowance to choose from the main menu.||Although my wife and I stay often, don't be surprised if the rest of my family become regulars as well.||Thanks again for another wonderful stay.

Thoroughly enjoyed an Afternoon Tea at the restaurant in Mount Pleasant Hotel. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. Major plus is the scones are brought out a bit later as they’re served WARM! Would highly recommend for a very reasonable price of £19.95! Will definitely go again 🙂

We booked a table for a meal in the bar on Saturday evening. It was busy, and food and service were good, although several menu options had sold out before we ordered at 8pm.
Service was helpful, polite and professional, but not quick.
The menu had very limited vegetarian or vegan options, and these felt like an afterthought, and I could only describe the choice as adequate.
Despite the very limited vegetarian / vegan options, I would certainly visit again as the service, surroundings and location were excellent.

We attended a wedding on the 27th September and I can honestly say it was the best experience ever, the room was a standard room and it was fantastic, the staff was so brilliant couldn't fault it in any way. I would highly recommend it enough. |To all the staff that work there you excelled yourselves, I would love to come and stay with you all again and can I say your breakfast was amazing.

There are not enough words that can describe the way this venue conducted our wedding. When we booked two years to the day we married we fell in love with not only the ground but the staff we met along the way. The day before the wedding we were tended two with the upmost respect and importance. We were made to feel like the most important people in the hotel before and after the wedding. The wedding its self was perfect and we could not have asked for a better day, the staff attended to everything we enjoyed are day because we didn't have to think about a thing. The venue its self is beautiful and the staff worked tirelessly to ensure everything was perfect for us, which is was. ||We could not have asked for a better day or better lead up to the day the Weddings team were there answer any questions and make changes to our day, even when I was making changes 2 days before. ||The staff from the waiters to the operations manager treat you as part of the family not just as a paying customer. ||The master of ceremonies explained the day to us and even 10 minuets before the weeding was checking in to ensure everything was perfect. ||I am unable to describe how proud I was to have had our wedding at Mount Pleasant and we could not have asked for a better team or venue. ||We have visited the venue since our wedding and the team still treat us as if we are apart of the family and not just paying customers. ||I would like to give this venue 1000 starts but 5 start service.
