Worst experience ever. For the amount you pay its surely a scam. The dirtiest hotel l have ever been. The carpets in room 103 looks like something from the 1950s, old outdated and dirty. The dark blue ceiling makes the room small and claustrophobic. The curtains were hanging at the end with no pins to hang with. The bathroom was dirty and the sink tape wasn't working, there wasn't any toilet brush to clean after yourself. The shower head was so filthy you were scared to even use it. Even if you did you felt like you were showering with dirty water. The white towels had stains all over, looked over used and old. The worst of it is that l smelt of cigarettes and l had booked an non-smoking room. Why is it that this hotel allows people to smoke inside their rooms. I honestly did not feel like l could sleep there. It feels like someone has given up and they don't care.
I told the receptionist all this and she changed me to room 551, which was much better but still dirty carpets and ceiling in the shower room. This one had rust everywhere. And to make matters worse the rooms are not sound proof at all. I was coming from a funeral and l wanted some peace and quiet after an emotional day but there was a wedding downstairs and it felt like it was on the next room, l was with my son and at that point I had enough l knew l had to leave the place to find him a quieter place to sleep. Disappointed is an under statement.

Attended a family wedding breakfast meal and evening do, the service from the hotel staff was great. The food was lovely, plenty of meat on the main course and decent portion sizes.||Bed was comfy and shower was great, good power and ceiling fitted unit (so no limp hand holding required). ||Reasonable breakfast choices of fruit, cereal and fry up items

The staff worked their socks off and deserve a huge bonus!
Difficulties were because the hotel has JUST been taken over and a refit started, which disrupted room bookings for a weekend event.

I came here in July as a guest for an Ultra White Collar boxing event. The event was truly fantastic! The whole event was ran very smoothly, the staff were accommodating and very friendly. The venue is really lovely and I cannot fault it at all.

On arrival I received a warm welcome from the receptionist who explained everything i needed to know, the room was |well furnished and clean, it was very comfortable and provided with an excellent night sleep. Breakfast was very good and staff extremely polite.

A very warm welcome from the outset by Clair (Reception) and experienced helpful staff throughout our stay. The hotel is clean and tidy with a nicely appointed comfortable room.|We opted to eat breakfast and an evening meal during our stay at the hotel. The menu has a reasonable selection of food and prices not too bad.|It was noted that no lifts are available to upper floor, so those needing access consideration should request ground floor rooms when booking.|Would happily stat there again

Stayed in this hotel bed was comfy room not to bad not the cleanest but ok . Breakfast was the worst I ever had served till 10am on a weekend this was Sunday got their around 9am cooked breakfast no sausages and told take 20 mins to cook so they didn't bother black pudding was thin like paper really not worth the money breakfast very disappointing

Nice room little old fashioned no usb points for charging the phone. Great shower!! Fish and chips were good from the restaurant.
