Received a warm welcome on arrival, room was nice and comfortable with a dog bowel, blanket and biscuit. Food was lovely, Our Dog is a bit yappy so the staff accommodated a quiet area in the bar for us to sit and eat Dinner and breakfast. Hotel wad quiet therefore we had great service, Nice garden to walk around. Overall we had the perfect stay.

The best hotel ive stayed in for work great hotel good rooms clean and very tidy all staff went above and beyond to help. Food in restaurant all homemade and loved every meal stayed x6 nights. This hotel must be the friendliest most personal I’ve had the pleasure to stay at. All the staff (Jude, Wendy, Emma) were fantastic with nothing too much trouble. I chose to stay in a Superior double as I preferred a more ‘contemporary’ feel as opposed to the higher spec rooms which were more traditional (4 posters etc) . The room was great with a VERY comfortable bed (normally a sticking point for me as we have a water bed at home) as well as a long deep bath (and shower via mixer tap) . To top it all off the food was first class with a large A La Carte menus as well a specials board each day. Breakfasts were lovely and served piping hot 🙂. They also do some nice coffees after coming back in from work. The bar is well stocked with several beers on draught and even had my tipple on hand (Hendricks) the only thing missing was some elderflower tonic , but I can forgive that ( the chef did provide some cucumber though 😉). To the rear of the entrance is a large open car park which (if needed) can provide electric charging via a borrowed lead and wall device (although it’s only a 13a home style affair) The hotel recommended where you can charge if needed from some local Power chargers. All in all a lovely stay for work and would book there again in a flash. 😎

This is a great place to stay. There are many places in this hotel to enjoy a short break: beautiful gardens, a relaxing bar area, discreet quiet areas, as well as good rooms. The staff were lovely. We also had a family party gathering in the afternoon and their function room is ideal for a select gathering (at a very reasonable price).

A place that offered wonderful surrounds with such friendly staff. It didn't look much from the outside, but the team at this place went over and above their attentive details, which was hugely appreciated. Our evening meals were lovely, breakfast was lovely and the overall stay was just lovely even though Melton Mowbray didn't have much to offer. Certainly if we ever venture back here, we will definitely stay here again. Nothing was too much for the staff. Food and breakfast plentiful and enjoyable.

I arrived as a group for a get together as there was less than 20 we did not need to pre book.

I was asked what I wanted by a lady who looked stressed. I wanted lamb and wanted the server to know about my allergies which are life threatening.

I told I was allergic to peas- I felt cut off being told it was “it (lamb) don’t come with peas” i felt she did not want to listen- if I was allowed to continue would have told the server that Pea Protein can be also be found in some gravy’s or processed meats.

This was the first time I came to this place and feel they could do better with acknowledging allergies. It might not matter to staff but matters to me be being in intensive care. Some allergies are life threatening.

A lovely hotel, with gorgeous grounds, very friendly and helpful staff, comfy beds, and excellent breakfast. What's not to love! |Everyone went out of their way to make us feel welcome, made particular accommodation for various special requests and nothing was too much trouble. Exactly the type of service you'd expect in a high quality hotel, but at an affordable price!
