I’m in year ten and I have just been on a open day at Bicton and am thoroughly impressed with the equine and animal centres (what I am interested in doing there) and the inclusivity of people with send needs. The students and staff where extremely helpful and lovely and happy to show us around even after 12 for a bit (the open event was 10 til 12). I am looking forward to going again for taster days!

Went to the Lambing Sunday event. There was a lot to see and do ,did not get around to see/do everything as so busy. The grandchildren enjoyed the day and had lots of fun.My grandson loved the chance to sit in a JCB digger. Getting into the venue was a bit stressful as such long Ques but once in plant of parking. Great day had by all

It's an agricultural, horticultural college, but we visited the Botanical Gardens which is open to the public and is a wonderful day out. There is a train to take you round the wider gardens. The Museum is well worth a visit as are the garden centre and shop.

Bicton College used to host some great running & cycling events such as Devon Grit, the Bicton Blister & the Devon Duathlon. Unfortunately after a change of senior management they're no longer allowing external events. It's a great shame to lose such an excellent venue.
We offered to pay a commercial rate to hire the venue. And on the date we asked for, Sunday 25 August, the college is closed anyway so there are no students on site & no potential safe-guarding issues. The answer was still a firm no.
All further education colleges are extremely strapped for cash so why turn down extra income? Also there's an obesity & inactivity epidemic threatening to swamp the NHS. I'm struggling to understand why a state owned institution is not doing its bit to help. It just seems lazy, public sector thinking to me.

Took my granddaughter there for the soft play compared to all the other soft play places in the east Devon area this one is the most disappointing and the most expensive

Don't let your child take the equine courses if they're not body confident and weigh 12 stone or more. They have a weight limit of 13 stone and your child will be made to sit out from riding even if they are under 13 stone. This behaviour can be very damaging to a teenaged girls confidence.
