We visited today as soon as it opened and were lucky enough to have it to ourselves. I have 2 autistic sons, and Liam was great from start to finish, being really patient with my very hyper talkative youngest.
The museum is so well put together, and we found it all really interesting, especially with Liam’s extensive knowledge and extra anecdotes about the exhibits.
I hope to see it grow and will definitely recommend it to visit.
My only personal quibble was the music, albeit great, was a bit too loud in the cafe area, whilst trying to listen to everything Liam said. But on hindsight I could ask for it to be turned down slightly ha ha.
Thankyou for a fabulous morning.

What a place this turned out to be all of us loved it. That's the short version.

Bizarre BUT True caught my interest when looking for something different to do in one of our favourite seaside locations. I like quirky things and this definitely ticked all of the boxes.

The venue itself is elusively hidden in a small area just off the main shopping area. I'll be honest I didn't pay much attention to that until after our visit. More on that at the end.

We were entertained in the venue by the owners and were lucky to have been the only visitors at that time so we had the place to ourselves for the majority of the time. After an introduction to what we would see on our visit we were left to follow the audio tour by ourselves. The exhibits were amazing! The stories behind them, told by the audio guide, kept me wanting more. I won't spoil it by talking about any of them in particular because I wouldn't want to find out everything that was there from reading a review myself. Let's just say there are some very unique exhibits that will blow you away. Including one that was very thought provoking.

If you are looking for something different todo, at a cost that won't break the bank, hosted by wonderful people then look no further. It was clear from speaking with the owners, that so much passion and energy has gone into the place. We look forward to coming back soon.

We will be back, the location that Bizarre BUT True is situated in is undergoing some changes and very exciting ones at that. I cannot wait to return and see all of the latest things that are there.

Thanks guys for a remarkable little place to visit!

An amazing addition to Hastings. This brilliant and well put together is a must when you are in town. It is great couple of hours with a very informative audio guide to explain each piece. We had a great time with surprises around each corner. We spent about 45 minutes in the museum exploring and much more time in the bar! They had all sorts of different flavours of sodas and a few different beers. We were also definitely tempted by a donut! Lovely attraction in a great setting of St Andrews Mews. Staff were lovely and very knowledgeable of all the items! Will definitely visit again!

Amazing museum! Hastings is lucky to have such an interesting attraction right near the centre of town. Took my dad here for his birthday, he thoroughly enjoyed it and so did my five year old - who came out with loads of new facts to tell everyone πŸ˜… The man behind the desk was very helpful and informative as well as entertaining. 100% recommended to everyone !

It was an awesomely fun experience for my girlfriend and I. So many fascinating and really bizarre attractions to see that I’d doubt you’d find anyway where else ( favourite was the brain in the jar) I recommend everyone who isn’t squeamish to come see what they have on show. Also the guys running the place were awesome too, full of energy and passionate. And the icing on the cake were they really tasty donuts to hey had on the first floor. 10/10 πŸ‘πŸΏ will visit again for their special events.

My mum, myself and my 6 year old all visited today and had an absolutely brilliant time. The museum has some truly amazing oddities to see and the audio descriptions are fantastic (and just the right length!) The length of time it takes to get round is also just right both for older legs and younger attention spans, while still being excellent value. The owner is absolutely lovely and took so much time to chat to us. We also visited the Santa's grotto here and it was really lovely and great fun. Will definitely come again!

I visited this hidden gem with my 10-year-old daughter and a friend over the weekend, and what an incredible experience it was! The museum is fascinating and brilliantly presented. I drew the short straw and had to stick my hand in the bullet ant hole, which sent all of us into a fit of laughter and hysteria. Liam, is an absolute encyclopedia of knowledge, sharing intriguing stories that truly brought the museum to life. We had an amazing time and can’t wait to return. Perhaps order a drink next time.

Incredible, cosy museum tucked away in Hastings town centre. The oddities collection inside is really quite amazing, with uniquely interesting artifacts, novelties, and historic pieces from all over the world. The owners are very friendly and welcoming, there's an audio guide to walk round with, and some lovely interactive touches that add to the fun. A lot of passion and dedication has gone into curating an experience that can't be found elsewhere in the area and it really does show.
A great experience for both adults and kids alike.
