Went and had Thai in the restaurant which was great and highly recommended. Only criticism was we spent £90+ on food and the charged us for the prawn crackers - really most places give them complimentary

We only had drinks in the bar but the service was good, and the bar staff were very friendly. Made you feel very welcome.

A local pub for local people (have you seen League of Gentlemen).
Dog friendly, the back room is the best place to sit, with the dogs and their owners.
The beers good though, couple of hand pulls on.

Thai restaurant food is good. However, the staff are untrained and know nothing about the food.
Pub is drab and unloved. Pub Owner looks like he’s living rough and not dressed as landlord. Brings the whole thing down. It needs proper makeover and new management. Not recommended.

I love this pub !! Excellent price’s friendly staff and a very warm welcome. My wife and I visit Boroughbridge every 6 months or so and we always look forward to having a few pints in this fabulous old pub. The locals are super friendly and the beers are well kept. This is one of the best old pubs I have been in. Keep up the good work John ?
