Black peppermint recently catered our wedding and everyone has said just how great the food was.

When we first started looking at venues we noticed that BPM were the suggested caterers across multiple venues and so we started looking into them. Being coeliac myself it was important for me to have no risk of being ill on my wedding day and so we needed the catering to be completely gluten free with no risk of cross contamination, but without anyone being able to tell it was gluten free. For our initial conversations with BPM this would be no problem at all and essentially we could have any menu we would like. We worked with the team to come up with the menu and the couple of snacks we tried at the initial meeting definitely gave us confidence that the food would be delicious.

On the actual day of the wedding we were blown away by the team. Chris and Gemma lead the front of house team seamlessly. They automatically adjusted timings where needed and Chris solved any small issues before I even had chance to ask. They went above and beyond to not just provide delicious food but also ensure the day flowed seamlessly. The team ensured that wine was kept topped up on the tables and the food was served quickly and efficiently for all 114 guests.

I have heard lots of people say they didn’t have chance to eat on their wedding day and didn’t get chance to try canapés etc. This was not the case for us, thanks to the team at BPM. The waiters ensured that we had enough canapés during the drinks reception, as well as leaving a selection of the canapés on our top table just in case (which I happily munched on during the speeches).

Anyone who has to eat gluten free knows that eating out can be stressful and often a little disappointing. Not the case with BPM, everyone commented on just how good the food was and most hadn’t even realised it was all gluten free.

I would highly recommend BPM for any event!

We are so so glad that we chose Black Peppermint for our wedding caterers! They were so friendly and professional from start to finish, always quick to respond to questions or give advice when we needed it! We changed our mind several times and they were nothing but supportive and accommodating. The food itself on the day was outstanding and the service was excellent - we had several comments about how delicious everything was! I’d recommend Black Peppermint in a heartbeat to anyone planning their wedding!

Black peppermint did the catering for our wedding, and they were very good. Sitting down with Adam 18 months before to design our menu, and then going in for our tasting day were excellent experiences and left us so happy with our choice. On the day, the staff were lovely and so helpful, the canapés and evening food were both perfect! For the mains we went for a sharing style with three mains and three sides on the table.
The only disappointment for us was that on the day, they made a mistake and served the wrong dish. We were supposed to have a slow cooked lamb shoulder curry, and instead got a dry pulled lamb which was a let down.
The range of vegetarian alternatives were lovely, and actually nicer than the lamb dish we ended up with - they really go the extra mile for people with dietary requirements.

It was a shame to have such a big mistake on the day, but overall Black Peppermint were very good and I wouldn’t have wanted anyone else doing our catering.

Adam and his team catered for a cold buffet supper for friends and family to celebrate the life of my late mother. He came up with a great menu at very short notice and the service was excellent throughout even though the guest numbers were way below the company's normal minimum. Everyone loved the food and it was a luxury to have the team collect all the plates and glasses dirty afterwards so we didn't even need to wash up! Highly recommended and a lovely guy to deal with in sad circumstances.

Black Peppermint catered our wedding back in April and were absolutely amazing! From first enquiry, through to tasting, through to the day itself I cannot fault the service we received. Having severe allergies to certain foods, the catering of our wedding made me nervous but Black Peppermint took all this onboard and devised a bespoke menu that was safe for me and that all our guests would also enjoy, completely putting me at ease and knowing I didn’t have to be anxious on the day itself. We’ve had so many compliments about how great the food was all day and people were raving about the evening bowls of dirty fries! Cannot recommend Black Peppermint enough.

Black Peppermints food and staff were outstanding at our wedding. They were the only catering company we tried at an open day at The Hidden Hives and theirs samples were so good, we didn't need to search anywhere else.

They gave us complete creative freedom from our first meeting, creating a plan with what we could have on our day. So we started by telling them what we like to eat and the staff there came up with some amazing dishes that excited us.

When you do book with them, which you totally should and you have a tasting session, do not eat before, they will feed you well, trust us 😂

Communication was fast, clear and easy and they accommodated to all our little tweaks and last minute requests. Their dietary substitutions also sounded fantastic too.

Everyone on the day complimented on how amazing the food was. With some saying it was the best wedding food they'd ever had! With those same people, going back for seconds.
The head chef even came out to us throughout the day to check if everything's okay and if we needed anymore food. At this point, we were very happy but unfortunately.. stuffed.

Whatever food you're into, Black Peppermint will have you covered.

The only negative we'll say is, we wish Black Peppermint did takeaways, so we could have it all over again!

Black peppermint did the catering for our wedding at Scrivelsby Walled Garden on 1st August and they were fantastic! The food was absolutely amazing, all of our guests were complimenting it (especially the braised beef!), we couldn't have asked for better food and service. The lead up to the wedding was smooth and stress free and they were always on hand to answer any questions. The staff on the day on the wedding were all excellent and professional and helped make our day so special. Thank you so much, we would not hesitate to recommend!

After experiencing their outstanding service at my sister's wedding, I knew there was no other catering company for us. From start to finish, they were exceptional. The process leading up to the wedding was seamless—everything was handled with professionalism and care.
The portion sizes were perfect, and the quality of the food was absolutely worth every penny. Our guests haven't stopped raving about the meal, just as I still talk about the incredible food they provided at my sister's wedding.
On the day of the event, the staff were super friendly and accommodating, making sure everything went smoothly. I wish I could remember the main guy's name because he deserves a special shout-out! This catering team truly went above and beyond, and I can't recommend them highly enough. If I could, I’d give them 11/10!
