Sunday roast , very nice . The young man who served us was very pleasant as rest of the staff . Only thing that put me off was the amount of dogs in there while we ate , 5 in all , when they all started barking it was like having my meal in battersby dog home . Such a shame , one dog owner directly behind us spread out a dog blanket so her dog was comfy ?

Lovely pub! Went for Sunday lunch today and it was brilliant, good portions with plenty of meat and great roasties.
Staff were friendly and attentive, very dog friendly.
Location wise it's a mile from borough bridge and part of a circular walk with some good views. Main caution would be the car park got full pretty quick by about half 12/1 so you may want to get in early

We had a meal before Christmas for about 18 people instead of bringing a table out at a time for some reason we was brought out all turkey in one go and time the beef game out all the turkey was cold.

Fantastic service and tasty food. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly and went out of their way to make a birthday celebration special. Highly recommend, dinner or lunch!

We stayed here for one night .. the room was amazing and we got a very friendly welcome when we arrived .. Jackie was a great host and so was George the family dog who took a shine to me .. drinks were great and I wouldn’t hesitate stopping here again .. all in all a great B&B … ?

Today I went for Sunday lunch with my son and his wife. Lunch was lovely. I asked for mash rather than roast potatoes. No problem. I had the small chicken lunch. Plenty for me to eat. One small criticism, the gravy could have been a bit thicker. But apart from that all was fine. Service, management and customer service was spot on. We will be back.
