Excellent little cafe and all the staff are great. However, (you knew there was going to be a however :). The server front of desk needs to smile a bit more and not take the job as just a chore. Welcome people in , don't just say yeah. Look people in the eye and ask politely. Doesn't take much. Anyway she is still a nice lady. And this is a constructive criticism. Oh and I love that I can bring my dog for a sausage.

Good quality food in a clean environment. Staff friendly and helpful. Food is standard cafe type, but all freshly cooked so involves a short wait but is worth it.

I had a good value breakfast here (£7 for two fried eggs, two hash browns, baked beans, mushrooms, a piece of toast, a vegetarian sausage, and a cup of coffee). The downside was the vegetarian sausage was more like a spring roll, so perhaps vegetable sausage would be more accurate (although it was vegetarian). Service was quick and the staff were polite.

I went here for breakfast. It was nice and well presented but most of it was cold. My theory is because I had fried bread. I think the breakfast was cooked and cooled down, while waiting for the fried bread. I may choose toast next time.

I really used to love visiting. Food was always good. Today, after not visiting for a while, I suggested it to my partner and son. Saying how good it always was. They had mega breakfasts which they seemed to enjoy. I on the other hand had a cheese burger and chips. The burger was tasteless, just a lump of meat, no seasoning. My chips were undercooked and tasted like raw potato, no matter how much vinegar I could not taste it (assume it’s watered down) so I left most of my meal. I had really been looking forward to it, I don’t what’s happened but will not be returning. You used to do delicious burgers with a mound of grated cheese on top, they were the best! I also realised later in the day that the bottle of Fanta I purchased was out of date. After spending over £40 for the three of us I was very disappointed.
The staff were ok and keeping on top of clearing and cleaning tables.

I've been going to the bluebird ever since I was a kid, so over 50 years, I've become more of a regular over the last year due to being medically retired.
The food is always 1st class, and the staff are always friendly and helpful, Hannah and Alice are a bigot asset to the cafe, they refer to me by my name, but they know me better as Phil who drunks Lemon and ginger tea.
