Expensive - Yes. Value for money 100% Perfect location. Very dog friendly. Hospitality treats for humans and dogs well received. We picked Dove Cottage. Even though it was small it had more than enough room for our two Labradors. The fenced courtyard was ideal to sit out in, even during March. The dog paddock allowed the dogs to relax from the minute we arrived. Walks straight from the door and places to eat and drink just minutes away in the car. Countless places to visit within thirty minutes drive.

This old Farmstead has been turned into multiple cottage/apartment areas by the orders. They have done a beautiful job. I stayed in Dove cottage and was impressed with how well appointed and thoughtfully designed this space was. ||The owners, Dan & Fay, pay careful attention to detail and provide an outstanding binder of welcome information in each cottage. The includes information about the cottage, amenities of the overall property, things to do in the area for shopping, eating, pubs, and things to do with children. There is even a separate binder for hiking and biking routes in the area which you can access from the cottages area. I love that my cottage had a full kitchen, full bathroom, living room and bedroom. It was absolutely perfect!||There is even a leisure room on the property, which is open to all guests. This area includes a dining area for large groups, full kitchen, laundry area, and a room with shelves of boardgames and DVD movies.||Bolehill Farm Cottages is a couple miles outside of Bakewell, so you would either need a car to get around, or you can utilize local taxi or Uber services to get in and out of town. During good weather, there are some bicycle routes into town, but I believe the hike into town would take at least 45 minutes to an hour, if not longer.|The bus system is fantastic, with buses, leaving throughout of the day to get you to surrounding areas/towns. The visitor/tourist information center in Bakewell is a great resource to help you understand the bus schedules. Just a couple pounds to get to most places nearby.||Rent a car so that you can get around, or budget money for Uber and taxi rides. A one-way ride into town for one person is about 8 pounds, and even more during peak times of the day, costing up to three times that.

What a wonderful place. Our cottage was so fully equipped; there was nothing that we needed extra. Our shower was a little on the cool side but Dan came and fixed it immediately. There was also not enough storage for our food but we suggested a solution and hopefully that will be corrected.|There is a game's room with free pool, table tennis and table football as well as a huge selection of DVDs and books. There is a communal washing machine and tumble drier as well as a large fully equipped kitchen and dining room that can be booked for large parties. We loved it there, and only a 10 minute drive into Bakewell.

We recently enjoyed a wonderful family 're-union holiday at this very special site, and had the whole site booked to cover all the family. All 8 cottages were beautifully presented and equipped, and the games room and function room were a real bonus to accommodate all 27 of us. Dan and Fay were wonderful hosts, and could not do enough to ensure our stay was perfect. The grounds, walks and paddocks for the dogs, we're kept to an equally high standard, and would not hesitate to recommend this site.|We are all looking forward to our return visit next year, including one family from Australia. Thank you so much Dan and Fay and look forward to seeing you again next year.

A lovely courtyard of cottages 2 miles from Bakewell. The cottage was very clean cosy and dog friendly. Walks straight from the door and lovely villages nearby with good pubs serving food. A good base to visit the surrounding area. We visited Chatsworth which was stunning and Bakewell is a small
pretty town with Independant shops and plenty of eateries.

What a little gem. We stayed in Dove Cottage which was perfect for the two of us and our Labrador Finn who loved exploring the dog paddocks each morning. The location was excellent with walks from our cottage door. Our young dog was fine with the wall stiles but if you have a big less agile dog it would be tricky to negotiate them all. We were lucky with beautiful autumn weather, perfect time to visit and lots to explore in the area. The cottage was immaculately clean and everything you needed had been thought of. Will definitely return and recommend to others.

We had a wonderful stay at Bolehill Farm Cottages as part of a large family Xmas gathering ( with 2 dogs). It is ideal for such an occasion and the thought and extra touches that the hosts put in to make your stay comfortable are fantastic. The cottages are very cosy, warm and well maintained - we had welcome hampers and christmas decorations in each cottage. We also had sole use of the central building with games room and space to cook and cater for a very large group. This was perfect and enabled us to eat together every evening and enjoy recreational activities. There is a lot to do nearby and some lovely walks. A helpful folder of info is in every cottage and the hosts, who live there always helpful. Highly recommended.

Just returned from a 2 night stay in a Bluebell Cottage.|1st time away with our Labrador pup so we was a bit apprehensive if he would settle.|All I can say is the stay exceeded our expectations.|Bluebell cottage was immaculate and so cosy with fantastic countryside on your doorstep.|Our lab loved it, and the large dog paddock, a minute walk away from the cottage, was ideal for his early morning and night time stretch.|The only fault we had was that we should have booked longer than the 2 nights as so many walks we wanted to do.|Will 100% be returning
