This was our 3rd visit to this hotel and by far the worst. The room its self was very nice and the bed was super comfortable but the bathroom was a complete letdown. I appreciate keeping black mould out of the bath sealant and the grout is difficult but to have it growing on the tiles is easily cleanable. The cold tap was completely broken and we were informed by the cleaning staff that they had known about it for a few days and were waiting on a part. He was shocked we hadn’t had it mentioned to us when we checked in. Other than that the stay was pleasant until breakfast! NEVER AGAIN! My partner had scrambled eggs on toast, the eggs were fine but the toast was soggy bread that didn’t look like it had ever seen a toaster. I had what was supposed to be eggs Benedict but was more like a plate of slop. I had to send it back which I hate doing and I showed them a picture of what it should look like. The second one was better but still very wet. I will be avoiding the restaurant in future.

Balcony room was booked for us for 2 nights. we were charged £200 for the 2 nights, we were quoted £120. I paid and asked why i had to pay so much, the reply was we are busy.we were given key to room 7 , nice but no balcony , the toilet didn't flush, the shaver plug didnt work and half the lights the bulbs had gone. we spoke to Adam who said he would get it fixed My friend went down and complained he said he would change the room but he couldnt change the price as they were busy. She had booked 4 rooms that was why they were busy. the next room was bigger but still problems, 1 towel , lights not working, but shower and toilet ok. The room was clean and both Adam and housekeeping were very good, but no management on site and our complaint went no where. My friend lives close by and we thought this could be a base for us but i will not stay again.

The hotel is 150yards from the check-in and restaurant, so if you want anything you have to walk down to the reception each time. 🚶‍♂️‍➡️🚶‍♂️‍➡️🚶‍♀️🚶‍♀️. Food was good but menu seemed to be for fish lovers, fish and chips, fish bites etc. Burgers looked very good. Only checked in, ate and left!!!! Wasn't a hotel for a holiday.

Just spent a weekend here, booked again for April. Nothing is too much trouble, changed room round to accommodate a Cpap machine. Wes the domestic was amazing, above and beyond expectations he needs a pay rise foe what he does. Would go again tomorrow in a heartbeat

Stayed here for 1 night. Positives the room was a good size. Had bath with shower. Beds were ok. Location was ok, not too far from supermarket. The grounds of the hotel were quite nice. If you’re on a small budget with a family then it’s ok, and does the job so to speak.
The negatives- on arrival room had an odd smell. Paintwork a little tatty. The lights didn’t work properly. There were no bedside light so once the kids had gone to bed you had to sit on the dark! Food options weren’t that great. Poor signage on entry. Bathroom was not the best, had black mould around bath & ceiling, bath panel wasn’t secure and needed to be pushed back in place. The corridor doors were noisy & slamming shut regularly. Was hard to sleep. I’m sure the hotel would suit others, depending on what you’re after, but for us personally we wouldn’t return.

Disappointing stay – serious concerns raised with them, police and RSPCA

I recently stayed at this hotel and unfortunately, the experience fell well below expectations due to a number of serious issues.

Firstly, the general condition of the hotel requires attention. The public corridors had visible damage to the walls, and housekeeping trolleys filled with dirty bed linen were left in these areas for extended periods, creating an unclean and unpleasant environment. In the room itself, the bathroom bin was rusty and the foot pedal to open it was broken. Additionally, there were only two power sockets available in the entire room — an inconvenience when trying to use essentials such as the fan and kettle while also needing to charge devices, especially when the sockets were located far from the bed.

However, the most concerning issue was a serious animal welfare matter. One evening, a cat was reported to hotel security after being seen shut inside a van in the car park. The registration number was provided. Shockingly, the next morning the cat was still inside the same van, with no ventilation, windows, or movement visible from the night before.

When I raised this with the duty manager, she was unaware of the report from the previous night. I was assured that staff would door-knock all rooms, which they did, but I was then confronted by a rude and dismissive member of staff who claimed, “it’s a camper van, the cat is fine.” Regardless of the type of vehicle, it was a standard van with no windows in the rear, no ventilation, and clearly not an appropriate environment for any animal to be left inside.

This dismissive attitude towards animal welfare was deeply troubling. As a result, both the RSPCA and local police were informed,

I expect much higher standards of cleanliness, professionalism, and basic duty of care from any hotel. I hope management will take this feedback seriously and implement proper training and procedures to prevent such failures from occurring again.

The worst hotel you can choose!!! Not helpful staff. Didn't stay as the pictures showed on booking.com far from reality. Room not clean. Bed sheets used. Stings cigarette. Arived and didn't stay, as couldn't stay for this reason strait away told I am not happy. They not bothered to help, been so rude and didn't refund money. So I left like this. Avoid this place if you can!!!!

Lovely room with peaceful view! Chose room with a balcony- thin walls could hear others talking But nonetheless would stay again!

Do Not eat at the restaurant! ⚠️ Awful food 😬 how can fish, peas 🐟 n chips go so wrong !! and sticky toffee pudding 🫩 hideous! Microwaved within an inch of its live ! 🙏🏾 Bullet peas 😭everything was greasy pls pls avoid!!
