Very spacious room. We liked the decor was nice and cosy. The bed was very comfortable. Communication from the host was super and faultless. We had no problems. We enjoyed our stay. We managed to park down the road fine. Walked to station and got the train into Birmingham. Much better than driving. Ideal for Cadbury too. We had breakfast and it's was tasty!! Thanks so much we hope to be back and stay longer next time.

We stayed here for 1 night as was visiting Cadbury World. The communication with the owner Dee was brilliant, she gave us all the information prior to visiting. Managed to park for free in the street outside. Room was clean and spacious with tea/coffee making facilities and a TV with lots of channels. Weather was cold but room was well heated. Breakfast was booked in the Leverton Halls cafe below and was very nice/plentiful and at a reduced price for guests. Dee was also helpful in relation to advising us to jump on the train to the Bull Ring which was helpful ( and only £3.50 return, much easier than driving in) We would also recommend The Country Girl - an Ember’s Inn pub which is about 1 mile away for evening meals. Only negative is the traffic was a bit noisy from the road outside - but nothing Dee could do about that - just be prepared. We would happily return back here if in the area again.

Quite close to the station a nice place to stay for a couple of days. We had rooms 1 and 4 during our stay. Room 4 is at the top and has a kitchen, room 1 has the big window directly to the street so it does get a bit noisy at times.
The bed in room one was too soft, mattress is in need of a change.
What we liked is how clean and tidy the rooms were, very clean towels and linens.
WiFi is very good and easy to connect.
Check in instructions are very clear. Just make sure you have the codes ahead of time.
Also, the place is not so visible, get to the cafeteria and the door is next door, you will recognise the white facade of the house in the corner.
Take advantage of the discount for the breakfast at the cafeteria downstairs.
We were also able to leave our luggage until 3pm after checkingt out.
Nice place, good for families and convenient to visit the Cadbury world few minutes down the road.

I appreciate it’s at the cheaper end of the scale but I stayed in room 3 with my son and the bedding is goodness knows how old and stained and ripped and didn’t feel very clean. I complained about the WiFi not working and you seemed surprised there was an issue and apologised you couldn’t do anything until after we had left. I later discovered that it does work but you have to stand in the communal hallway! With my suspicions raised I trawled the previous reviews to see this had been a persistent complaint from people staying in you guessed it room 3! We weren’t able to try the breakfast as although booking.com states you open at 7.30, we received an email on the day of arrival saying it was 8am, which was too late for us. Other minor niggles include a series of 3 coded doors, no humans present at all. Very old furniture and decor and a bedside lamp that has no access to a plug! Which makes me wonder how the booking.com reviews are so high?! The Tripadvisor ones seem far more honest! A lesson learnt- I should have done more homework before booking!

It's a dive, really gone to the dogs. I've reviewed this place before following a significant overcharge. Never heard a thing back from them. They seem not to care. There are other better places to stay locally.

This place is fantastic value. We were there for an operation at the nearby Royal Orthopaedic Hospital, so the location was perfect, and on a pleasant residential street. The room was lovely, clean and a perfect size. The guy who runs the cafe downstairs was friendly and helpful. Would definitely book again.

This was an usual stay. Parking is on street in a residential area making it a nightmare. I had to park 400 metres away and when I returned at night I was struggling for a space. The place is above several shops and access is by a combination lock on a door leading into an entry between the shops. There is another lock giving access to the stairs. These stairs are steep up to the bedrooms. The room was clean and well stocked with tea making materials. I was disappointed with the congealed coffeemate. My room looked onto the very busy main street. There is a garden at the rear which provides a relaxing area. This was not my favourite place.

Arrived late but had excellent communication re the 3 codes we needed to enter the property ( main door/gate, side door and bedroom door). Twin room, in need of updating, old furniture made it cramped and bedding was very old fashioned, as if in your nans house. Room was very cold but rectified straight away when I phoned manager who directed me to thermostat outside in landing. |Room was very quiet and beds very comfortable. Toilet brush broken, dirty. |Main issue is that we had no Wi:fi connection ( Room 3) which was very important to me for my work and could only get wi:fi if face against the front door which is very uncomfortable if you are trying to work.|Breakfast, down in the cafe was lovely and set me up for the day ( full English)|Overall, need to invest ( quick fix) in updating decor. Wi:fi is VERY important these days and this needs to be looked into. Perfect if you want a nights sleep, lovely breakfast the next morning but don’t book room 3 if you need Wi:fi .
