Didn’t like the fact that people could see the wedding ceremony through their bedroom windows and that the entrance to the toilets were where the couple got married. This needs to be covered. Rooms were nice. Drinks are quite expensive. Liked that the venue could be rented out entirely.

Just home from a amazing stay at Bowburn Hall. We were well looked after from stepping in the door to this beautiful building.
The building and grounds are absolutely beautiful, so elegant. We had afternoon entertainment in the ballroom with Christmas meal. Food and service was outstanding from all the team
We were upgraded to the executive room. Wow how beautiful also with amazing views of the garden. Comfy bed and everything you need for your over night stay.
Breakfast was really nice with a wide choice with excellent service once again.. The young waitress was so friendly and made sure there was nothing else we needed. 100% credit to her.
Staff go above and beyond to make your stay so perfect. Staff are so friendly. We will certainly return again.

Had the best time photographing a weddings at Bowburn Hall! It’s such a lovely spot—loads of character, gorgeous gardens, and plenty of space for couples to have an amazing day. The ceremony setting was beautiful, and the light in the gardens. Perfect for those natural, romantic portraits!

The staff were absolute legends too—super helpful and kept everything running smoothly, which makes my job so much easier. Plus, there are so many little nooks for great candid shots, which is exactly what I love to capture.

If you’re thinking about getting married here—do it! Can’t wait to be back for another wedding. 📸✨

The hotel, grounds & lodges are excellent. The service is great & staff are friendly & make you welcome. The interior of the hotel has interesting features including pictures and the light-fittings. The menu is extensive there is something to suit all tastes. We dinned in the restaurant & were very pleased with our choices well done chef.

This is the second time we've stayed at the bowburn hall hotel. Our first visit was lovely in a large room with a stand alone bath. This time though we were disappointed. We booked for 3 couples in 3 seperate rooms. Our room ( number 10) was unbelievably tiny, certainly not what was shown on the pictures when we booked it. At £116 for the night id expect much better facilities. You could barely get around the bed, there was no dressing table and only 1 accessible double plug at the bottom of the bed. The other 2 were covered by bedside tables. The bathroom door was only 70% frosted so you could see if anybody was using the toilet. The mirror was on the inside of the single wardrobe meaning my wife had to sit on the floor to do her makeup in the mirror. The bathroom was absolutely tiny and I could pull the plug out of the sink and bath at the same time as using the toilet. We were quite disappointed as my wife had organised the whole night so we could get together with some friends. One other couple stayed in the room next door to us which was only slightly better while another couple we were with were upgraded to a large room free of charge. We all ended up in the bigger room to have a few drinks as 2 people were too much in our room. Staff were polite and the breakfast was nice but I don't think we will be returning purely down to how small of a room they gave us.

Visited here for Christmas lunch with the family. ||I have to say the whole experience was class. ||Food, service, staff were all exceptional, especially with this being Christmas Day. I would have no hesitation in returning here again. ||I have to mention the serving staff in particular. Most are quite young but we found their manners, and serving style absolutely brilliant. All smiles and very pleasant and nothing was too much trouble. ||Hats off to the management for having their staff operate like this. ||Thank you very much

The room was lovely, with a beautiful and well-appointed bathroom. It was a little warm, so we had to open the window. Although a wedding occurred in the hotel, we weren’t disturbed by the noise.||The bar offers a good selection of beers, and we had dinner there. The service was good, and the food was typical pub fare.||My only criticism is that the electric charging points were not working, and the reception staff didn’t know how to resolve the issue.
