Property: Cottage styled property. Welcoming staff and it is evident of their pride in their roles and property. We arrived late in the evening and we retrieved our room key promptly and with ease. Our room was spacious and suited our needs. |Rooms are warm and the beds are comfy. ||Breakfast: A continental breakfast (buffet style) is included in your price, there is a small charge for a cooked breakfast (not on a monday), which is total worth every penny.||Refreshments: There is a small kettle in your room with refreshments and these are replenished each morning. ||Travelling: You will receive a informative email with information regarding the local area, restaurants and transport, which is very thoughtful. Hemel hempstead train station is 5-10 minute walk from the lodge and the train is approximately 20 minutes to London Euston. ||Staff: Contentious and polite. They appear to enjoy their roles and enjoy the guests company.

Mark and his staff provided a great afternoon for our family and friends to celebrate my mum's 80th party. They went out of their way. The food was excellent, the atmosphere was so lovely. We deeply appreciate their hard work and would certainly recommend this venue.

Used this place for it's convenience to Hemel Hempstead station (3 minute walk). No problems at all. Good clean accommodation. Really comfy bed. Nice shower. Paying a little extra for the cooked breakfast was well worth it. Good value. Would certainly use again if in the area.

This was an absolutely great find! I'm originally from the area, and needed an overnight stay to visit a friend who was only around for a couple of days - Boxmoor Lodge was perfect, and for the price paid I was most impressed with the quality of the room. I stayed in 14: it was a decent-sixed room, with an equally nice bathroom (with bath). The room was well equipped with all the usual things you might expect (tea & coffee, bottles of water, hair dryer, TV, etc.) and even had a trouser press. I was perfectly happy here for an overnight stay after meeting friends, but I'd be equally happy here if I were travelling for work.||One thing in particular that I really liked is that the building all seem to be single storey - I don't think there is any upstairs (not for other guests, at least) so there could be no unintentionally noisy neighbours clomping around above me. In fact - being in the room I was in - I couldn't hear any traffic at all, so all in all I had a decent night's sleep in the comfortable bed.||I'm also quite precious about my car and always nervous about where I park. If this is something that also troubles you, then I can say that the parking is very generous. While I was lucky enough to score a standalone parking space, all the other parking spots seemed large enough that even the most careless neighbours would have a hard time opening their car door onto your car!||I opted for a cooked breakfast (at extra cost) on top of the free continental style breakfast included with the cost of the room. Breakfast was lovely, and set me up well for my long journey home.||All in all I was really impressed with Boxmoor Lodge, and it will be my first choice next time I'm down south and need somewhere to stay.

Really comfortable bed and great shower. A well equipped room and a great breakfast. Great location for the station (to London and Wembley).||The decor is dated but really not bothered about that. ||Service in reception and breakfast was great (same person)

We have just had a 2 night stay and highly recommend this unique hotel. We were in room 7 which was spotlessly clean and we slept soundly in the comfortable bed. It's well placed being a short walk to the train station. We included a visit to the theatre in Milton Keynes and it was a quick and easy journey. Also just as easy to get into London. There's a nice pub nearby too. It's a slight shame that the cooked breakfast isn't included in the price, but the continental selection was good. We look forward to returning as we have family living nearby.

room was very very poor. very dated and small. décor was from 1970 bathroom had broken tiles on wall head board fell off while sleeping. Reception staff were polite but the place is a no go would not stay again waste of £109.00. premiere inn is better to be honest .
