A truly magnificent historic house, peaceful and comfortable with long views to the racehorse gallops. Vicky is a great host, breakfast is a treat. What more can you want. Well, these things are taken to another level here. There are wonderful walks right out of the door, the house is full of character, and it's also a proper working farm. One of the best, you could pay many times the rate in swish hotels and not get the same character.

We stayed here for three nights whilst attending a wedding nearby. We cannot praise Vicky's hospitality enough. from pre arrival, welcome, breakfast to departure, she was a pleasure and a treasure. She could not do enough for us and her breakfast was fabulous.|The four poster room was wonderful; spacious, spotlessly clean and full of original 17th century features, with a 21st century ensuite shower room. The views over the Middleham Moor gallops were superb. What a treat of a view to wake up to. Don't expect great internet access or a pub or restaurant on the doorstep. Just the warmest of hospitality, comfortable bedroom, best of breakfasts in an amazing house in a stunning location.

The perfect countryside 3 night break. The 17th century hall is magnificent, we stayed in the kings room which is fantastic beyond our expectations. The location is perfect with loads of walks right from the door and close to villages and plenty of pubs. Vicky was the perfect host, very friendly, helpful and cooks one of the best full English breakfasts we’ve ever had, all fresh produce and fresh home made bread. We will definitely return.

The original building dates from the 1300s and was renovated in the 1600s. The property is set on 700 acres of farm and pasture land in the Yorkshire Dales. Absolutely charming area and Vicki Duffus is a wonderful hostess. Our room was elegant and beautifully furnished, complete with fabulous four poster bed! Views from every window , including the very modern bathroom. After dinner in nearby Middleham , it was lovely to return to Braithwaite Hall and relax in our spacious sitting room, complete with complimentary port! Breakfast was delicious, showcasing lots of locally sourced products. Our only regret is that we were only there for one night! Thank you so much Vicki!

Jaw-dropping, historical apartment with spectacular views. Hosted by the amazing and very welcoming Vicky, the one bedroom apartment gives you a chance to live in a wing of a 17th Century hall, but with all-mod cons to hand. Very tastefully furnished with a great mix of antique furniture and modern sofas/mattresses. The hall, a farmhouse on a working hill farm in middle of the Yorkshire Dales, offers outstanding, pastoral views in a secluded corner of Coverdale. Despite its peaceful, rural setting, it is situated within a five minute drive of Middleham, or a ten minute drive of Leyburn for provisions, and has excellent walking or driving from the doorstep to explore the Yorkshire Dales National Park. A rare gem of a place to stay for those wanting to get away from it all, yet also have all the countryside has to offer on your doorstep.

We were made to feel so welcome.
The Rooms are stunning in a beautiful setting. Our bedroom was large with a super comfy bed and chairs. Views of the countryside.
We were served a wonderful breakfast expertly cooked with a great selection. The homemade bread is a must!
