Well, what can I say? This is our second visit to Bramblewood and Colin and Amanda are excellent hosts, making us welcome as we arrive with a nice cup of tea and biscuits. Rooms are spotless and spacious, beds are so comfy I slept really well. Breakfast, all tastes catered for, freshly cooked bread by Amanda, full English breakfast using local produce, cereals, yoghurt and fruit. We came back because Colin and Amanda make you feel like their home is your home. 😀 Hopefully we'll be able again in the not too distant future.

My wife and I stayed at Bramblewood B&B over last weekend and as soon as we met Amanda and Colin we were given a wonderful welcome to her B&B in Cheddar. ||||Bramblewood is truly a "home away from home" and we could not have been happier we our decision to stay here. Amanda and Colin really make you feel at home, which really adds to the charm of the B&B and your stay.||||The room was very comfortable and clean, with tea and coffee available in the room, we had the room with the ensuite, which was again clean and convenient.||||The breakfast that Amanda provides is great with everything you would expect from a top quality B&B, which Bramblewood certainty is, nothing is too much trouble and she really aims to please. ||||Amanda and Colin are really knowledgeable about Cheddar and the surrounding areas, they recommended a visit to the nearby city of Wells, which was delightful. ||||All in all, I couldn't say one bad word against Bramblewood and would definitely recommend it to anyone, families or couples who are looking for a place to stay in Cheddar. Amanda and Colin are wonderful host, we will definitely be back to Bramblewood when we visit Cheddar in the future.

One night stopover on the way to Cornwall, one adult & 2 children. Amanda could not have done more to make us feel welcome, what a great host. We had the room without the ensuite but big modern bathroom was just along the corridor. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable with towels and even bathrobes. Very comfortable bed, slept like a log. Breakfast next morning was the highlight, home made bread then a cooked breakfast to order, what a great spread. Must be the country air but we ate so much we had to skip lunch that day! Perfect location just a few minutes walk from the caves and attractions.||||Thank you Amamda for your hospitality, we hope to be back one day.

Amanda and Colin are a lovely|Couple. From the moment you arrive to the moment you leave they couldn’t be better hosts if they tried. The rooms were very clean with tea coffee biscuits and mints in the room. The shared bathroom was amazing. The breakfast was very good as well. ( cooked breakfast, then fruit, toast and fruit juices and cereal) just some of the things on offer. They also made so good recommendations of places to eat in cheddar. Thank you for the excellent stay.

Had a great night stay at this terrific guest house, met warmly by Amanda and Colin with refreshments and shown to our immaculate room with all you would need for a relaxing stay. Informing us of all what to do in the locality and then after a fun filled day and great night sleep awoke to come down to a multitude of choices for an excellent breakfast from fresh fruit to full English, locally sourced along with home baked bread. Cannot recommend this establishment highly enough for its great hospitality and cleanliness and will definitely be booking again when we need a break in the area.

Bramblewood is a hidden gem . Amanda is lovely and very welcoming. Nothing is too much trouble to make your stay perfect. The rooms are lovely and the breakfast was fantastic. Anda and Colin were helpful in suggesting places to visit and walks . I cannot recommend them enough and will definitely stay here if I'm in Cheddar again

We found Bramblewood by looking on trip advisor and based on the good ratings we thought we would give them a try.||I booked by telephone and spoke to Amanda, a lovely woman who was extremely helpful and gave us plenty of information about the local area and what there was to see, do and eat.||When we arrived at Bramblewood we were greeted warmly by Amanda and Colin and immediately offered refreshments after our somewhat tediously slow journey. The cake was homemade carrot and walnut was delicious!!!||Presently we were shown to our rooms which were impeccable, clean and tidy in presentation and well stocked with toiletries and we were shown and told all we needed to know about our stay. The room was supplied with a full compliment of towels, robes and as a nice touch the towels was folded in such a way to resemble a pair of kissing swans!! ||Next morning we went for breakfast and we were offered cereals, Toast and a full English breakfast along with an extensive fresh fruit platter. all bread supplied was home-made and very tasty!||I never thought anything more about it but when I booked by phone originally, I mentioned by phone that I liked Black pudding....Amanda had gone out of her way to supply that as well and without exception the whole meal was absolutely splendid!||I actually felt embarrassed that I had not finished my breakfast but this was no issue whatsoever to Amanda!!!! ||All in all we had a lovely stay and would not hesitate about recommending this place to all our friends and family and would certainly stay again if we were in the area.

Amanda was lovely and our breakfast was fantastic - definitely a highlight. It is very much like staying in someone's home and a little different in that respect to other bnb's we have stayed in (where they were more like a guest house with the owner's living space was separated). How you feel about that is just up to how you prefer to travel. If I'm honest, for the price I would have expected a few extra touches like tissues in the bedroom and a little more luxury e.g. nicer handsoap and I read in the compendium that they charge for filling up the bath in the one with the bath. I do think I may have been spoilt with these added touches for less at other places. I suppose as Cheddar is quite a tourist spot they can charge a bit more. Amanda was extremely helpful with finding walks for us to do so overall would still recommend staying here just maybe adjust your expectations if you have been fortunate to stay in other bnbs that offer a bit more.
