Charming, romantic getaway. We stayed in the "Holly" room with a beautiful Queen Anne four Poster bed and jacuzzi tub. The room and property were very clean and the staff extremely welcoming. The food was home made and delicious. They go above and beyond to make your stay the very best experience possible. Highly recommend!

Went for lunch and not to stay. The restaurant area is fairly small and was completely empty when we arrived so not a lot of atmosphere. The happy, smiling waitress took the order and was quite chatty. Only one draught beer (and some lagers) which looked and tasted more like a lager. The food was reasonable without being outstanding and the overall service was fine.

Couldn’t find the place in the dark…. Sat nav no help and no lighting over the hotel sign.|Parking was limited and had to reverse quite a long way in the dark to another space, quite a distance with luggage.|On first walking in entrance, which is at the back of the house, was greeted to an overwhelming unpleasant cooking smell and a dreary entrance hall.|Room was very very small. Really inadequate. Towels were disgusting. Looked like something I would have used on my dog. They would have made good exfoliations. Whole Place lacked any atmosphere. . Not the country house experience advertised. |Didn’t go in hot tub as looked dirty and uninviting.|Bed was comfy and breakfast was good and served by a lovely chap who helped with his local knowledge.| Left after one night as didn’t enjoy the experience at all.||Found the place a little bizarre tbh

Absolutely brilliant place and a total hidden gem!

Stayed for my partners birthday and we loved the nice homely atmosphere and the lovely people who own the place are very welcoming and friendly

The room was cosy and the jacuzzi bath was amazing too.... oh and the food! All I can say is wow 👌🏻 the steak dinner was brilliant and compliments to the chef

Would definitely come back to stay again 🙂

A great location and lovely setting. We booked the Camilla room for 2 nights, the room was very large and airy, it overlooks the garden. The bed was very comfortable and the room nicely decorated. There was plenty of choice for breakfast and for dinner we had the steak night. Overall this is very good value and the staff are very friendly and helpful, we will definitely return in the near future.

Visited for a pint and a plate of chips after a long sweaty walk. Estrella on tap, which quenched my thrist to perfection. And the homemade chips were tasty and greasy.
Sat out on the veranda as it was hot in the dining room. Good spot for the kids as there was a bouncy castle and other things set up for them.
Think I would definitely consider this place if I needed a hotel nearby.

Had a cream tea. It was very nice and service was efficient. Only one other couple there at the time. I think the place is better suited to events. Parking difficult.

Lovely stop over in this hotel that has had some considerable investment in quality fixtures and fittings. Very comfortable,warm, and relaxing. The breakfast was excellent quality and well presented but only from 8.30? This is a remote location so you can’t enjoy this breakfast if you need to be anywhere for 9am. This is one of the minor conflicts that you have to question when staying here. Why so must investment then so many niggling negatives that seem to want to cheese off a guest? You read reviews and everyone mentions the signage to hotel it’s so bad you wonder if it wants to be found. Advertises WIFi but it’s not in the bedrooms and no mention of why in room book. Car parking is chaotic no direction or markings and when yo drive to door you need to wiggle reverse manoeuvre back out and find a spot in front of a no parking sign. Dinner was okay and we were grateful they put this on as didn’t want to go out and find somewhere else but why Spotify with adverts that keep telling you to subscribe advert free and huge ketchup bottles on every table? |Don’t let my moans stop you visiting it is nice and tranquil I just wonder why so much has been spent on quality but little attention made to gust needs. Deserves 5 stars!
