Our third visit to Breamish Valley Cottages, this time we spent half term in Night Fold Cottage. |The cottage was spacious, clean and well furnished. |The pool,games room and play area are a great addition. |We ate at The Bosk four times (I don't go on holiday to cook!) All our meals were excellent. |We will definitively return.

The roundhouses are just the most amazing place to book for a holiday in Northumberland. The website and photos do not do this place justice. You need to go to experience the tranquillity of it. Such peace and quiet in beautiful countryside, stunning views, changing skies and sunsets. Each roundhouse has a different decor but each with an open feel, huge glass panoramic windows. Black out blinds shut out the light, but we couldn't open them each morning quick enough, to see the sun shining on those hills. Sheep in the fields are the only thing you'll hear. Each roundhouse is very private from each other and you are left on your own to settle in and enjoy it. Facilities are excellent, use of the pool, spa and Bosk restaurant is just down the road in the nearby village, just a few minutes. 9 mile inland, west of Alnwick and about a 20mile scenic ride to the coast. We even drove up to Scotland, Kelso and floors castle too, but returning each day here was just wonderful..... Really didn't want to leave, 100% recommend. If you're reading this, get it booked!!

We previously stayed in 2009. There are more cottages now, but the standard remains very high. The facilities are great and the location could hardly be better. We found the staff consistently helpful and enjoyed our meals at the Bosk. ||We had been trying to go back here for a while but left it too late to book. Not surprisingly, given how good they are, we found others had beaten us to it. A few weeks ago we had a stroke of luck and were able to make a last-minute booking. ||We definitely do not want to leave it another 15 years before we return!

As always superb visit! Cottages are fabulous and of the highest standard, as are leisure facilities and activities. Our grandson has had a blast! |Peter and family always make us feel welcome and on hand if you need anything… it’s one of the reasons we keep coming back! ||Bosk food delightful and plenty of choice. ||We’ll be back again, hopefully this year!

Just recently stayed in Middle Dean at The Roundhouses and what a fantastic little break it was. |The Roundhouse was surprisingly large with everything you could ever need for a nice chilled weekend away with the other half.|Some fantastic little touch’s , from the homemade tray bake to great you, to the quirky noughts and crosses game to pass the time, the mood lighting, deep outside bath to chill in enjoy a glass of fizz while taking in the beautiful countryside. |We nipped down to the leisure facilities beside The Bosk which was about a 5 min drive from The Roundhouse the gym is unreal more like a normal gym than a hotel gym, sauna, steam room and pool where also spot on. Even treated ourselves to a sneaky little treatment from Mel which was amazing. |Location wise you’re only about 15mins away from the historic town of Alnwick which is rich in history, pubs and restaurants. |Honestly this place is an absolute must, stop reading the reviews and just get it booked I promise it won’t disappoint.

I never write reviews but this was the best cottage I’ve ever rented. It’s so much better than advertised. We stayed at Craggy-nice beds and towels, excellent shower, clean and spacious with lots of thoughtful and useful additions. On site there is everything you may need if you have a young family-games room, trampoline,little observatory, plenty of nice enclosed spaces for kids to run, gym, spa and pool. On site restaurant is good and pizzas can be collected to take back to the cottage. Amazing lake with some great wildlife and chickens/rabbits/ponies/sheep roam the grounds. Locality wise, loads to do with kids within a short distance and obviously the countryside is beautiful. ||Would highly recommend for families-we actually came away feeling rested!

Immaculate, fully equipped cottages with great facilities for families in a beautiful location. Couldn’t fault it and would highly recommend. Pool with jacuzzi, sauna and steam room; games room with mini soft play, playhouse, air hockey, table football, ping pong and pool table. Adventure playground, trampoline, small mini golf course and tennis court. Kids enjoyed seeing the chickens and ponies and walking to the lake. Cottages clean and comfortable and very well equipped.

Absolutely fantastic weekend away celebrating a birthday, we stayed in the Comby Hills cottage and we were so impressed. It was much bigger and better than we thought it would be, the kitchen had everything you would need, furnished to really high standards and very comfortable and cosy.
On site there was so much to do with our teenage daughters, pool and spa, games room, tennis court, golf and our daughters favourite the trampoline in the ground.
We visited the Bosk and had delicious pizzas on the Friday night. Drove to The Running Fox for afternoon tea on the Saturday.
Plenty walks around the area, we loved the walk around the lake.
We loved our visits from the chickens on a morning as well.
Definitely recommend a visit, worth every penny you will not be disappointed.
