On the plus side the exterior and reception area are impressive. The receptionist was helpful and friendly. Plenty of parking. The room was clean and comfortable although the decor was a bit dated and dingy. Two of the lights didn’t work. It was warm, probably too warm in hot weather. Also, having read the reviews about noise, we were relieved to find it very quiet. There are endless corridors with blank walls. Why no pictures? We didn’t have breakfast so I can’t comment. We needed somewhere to stay overnight whilst attending a family event. It served the purpose in providing a restful night.

We had a very comfortable, well equipped room with ample Tea and coffee and biscuits available. Large TV with an excellent bathroom and walk in shower. The bed was very comfortable and we had a great nights sleep. Staff were very friendly and very helpful Andrea on reception was welcoming and efficient. The hotel is in a very peaceful, tranquil location it is a very old, listed building with character. Thank you to Scott the General Manager who gave us a tour of the night club which is undergoing a major refurb and uplift. A fantastic, atmospheric, period venue perfect for any occasion. We will definitely be returning when the hotel upgrades are completed in the summer.

The Hotel is located at the end of a Housing Estate and the Postcode on the Website does not take you there. I had to ask a local. |Huge Car Park and easy check- in. The rooms are spacious and modern with elaborate tea and coffee making facilities. Lovely modern shower and bath room. |My cousin and I ate in the lounge as the Restaurant wasn’t open. We ordered coconut and prawns in a chile dip. Alas we couldn’t taste the coconut. Just as we were about to start they brought out our main course- which I told them to take back. When the mains arrived my linguine was cold and my cousins medium rare steak was well done. Both were sent back. 15 minute later I received spaghetti bolognaise- I sent for the manager who was excellent and we got free drinks. I had also ordered a Malbec bottle from the bar and the bar person started looking for it in the chiller. I told him it was a red wine.|I am afraid the serving staff are not well trained but the Hungarian lady front of house was really good. But not good enough as I don’t think I will return

Didn’t stay here but went for a night in the club. Felt protected with the bouncers on the doorstep and the staff inside were lovely too. Great night!

Lovely clean room, with very comfy bed, and bedding. I even had a balcony overlooking a river. Room 247. The staff I met were mostly new, but very enthusiastic. Reception were struggling with a new system, but nothing was too much trouble. Bar staff were again new, and very young, but did an excellent job with great attitude. I was at a function in the hotel and arrived late afternoon. I wasn't hungry so I didn't eat at the hotel. I even skipped breakfast so I can't comment on the food. However everybody I saw eating appeared to be enjoying it. I have stayed here many times over the last thirty odd years, each time different. Some great memories here, and I hope to enjoy more in the future.

Our family attended the Easter carvery and I must say it really didn't disappoint. From great food, lovely ambient atmosphere and staff who looked after our every need we will definitely return. |The carvery was delicious, the vegetables cooked to perfection and the best mash I've ever tasted. My daughter had the veggie option and she was really impressed. Congratulations to the chef!|Great quality restaurant food and reasonable prices. Will 100% return |

We went to Bredbury Hall for a wedding and had a triple room for the night. The room was lovely, very clean and bright, and good value including a decent breakfast the morning after. Considering the hotel is in the middle of Stockport, it felt very rural and picturesque, and the outside area was stunning. The barn was lovely, we did go to the hotel bar for drinks because we wanted draft beers, but James the bar manager was very helpful and accommodating, and all staff were friendly and nice. Expensive drinks though! We wanted to book a room in June but were told we would need to stay for two nights which we don't need, so gutted about that! We loved staying and would have loved to have booked in again.

Like a lot of older hotels it has seen better times and some rooms are in need of an update. Very clean though and the rooms are massive and good beds as well. Didn't have one nights bad sleep in 2 weeks. The staff are very nice courteous and helpful no complaints there. The restaurant is a letdown though as it's expensive and there isn't much choice. Not even a curry! The Steaks and the Lasagne were very good, avoid the fish and chips at all costs. The triple cooked chips were not fresh they were frozen home fries from the supermarket I think. All in all a good stay but the restaurant needs to up it's offers. BTW there is an excellent Chinese take away a 2 minute drive down the road and they were the best I have had in years. Homemade pancake rolls huge size. Highly recommend as you can ask for a plate and cutlery from the hotel staff. Quite a few eating options a short drive from the hotel as well. One thing the plug sockets are in all the wrong places if you want to use your laptop for work. Bring an extension cable đźš  lol
