Stayed 5 nights in this wonderful b&b in lovely countryside between Ilminster and Taunton. We were in the annexe, which was large and comfortable with a wet room and power shower. We had our own terrace in the beautiful garden with table and chairs. David and Rosie were the perfect hosts and we felt we were treated as part of the family. Breakfasts were superb, eggs from their chickens and honey from their bees. We had lovely dinner one night which was prepared by David, not a professional chef but up to Michelin standard. He gave us a choice of menu and we provided our own wine, fantastic! Plenty of places to visit nearby, our favourite Forde Abbey, and our best pubs to eat in were the Lord Poulet Arms and the Cotley Inn. Hopefully we will return again and will recommend to family and friends.

A long weekend stay at the Annexe in order to charge our batteries and celebrate a birthday. David and Rosie (host and hostess) are very friendly, welcoming and warm people who made our stay fantastic. Their chickens and ducks are so delightful and made our trip so wonderful as they have such funny characteristics. |We didn’t have the evening meals at the bnb but we did love their breakfasts, their honey is very delicious with their yoghurt compote and I’m not that phased by honey usually. |We’d love to stay again to visit some more National Trust sites and eat at the many recommendations that David and Rosie provide. Due to COVID-19 we were the only guests so felt spoilt enjoying the riches of their garden, reading on the patio in the Summer evening sunshine with a cup of tea, whilst listening to their bees enjoy their beautiful flowers and hearing the chickens and ducks dart around. Oh the rainfall shower is also a big plus in my books.

The host and his wife make a wonderful, welcoming, warm couple. They offer an evening meal which is a real treat and the price very reasonable. We've been treated like royals with delicious choice of homemade dishes, served to perfection. David was so occupied with serving that he didn't have opportunity to have a seat with us at the table. Fortunately we were lucky enough to have a chat in cosy living room armchairs with him later on. Beautiful Rosie's paintings decorate the interior. An English garden full of flowers, bushes and old trees is a home for pet chicken and rabbits. All in all - a wonderful stay.

We stayed here for our anniversary and couldn't have stayed anywhere better. We stayed in the annexe which is lovely and great for having our own space. David and Rosie are lovely and brilliant hosts. We had supper there and the food was amazing, so delicious! Breakfast was just as good with honey from their bees. The garden is beautiful and David and Rosie are happy for guests to explore. Such a great find. Definitely planning to go back.

Peaceful setting. Closest large town Taunton, about 6 miles away by road. Comfortable, well appointed rooms and guests’ sitting room. Light and airy dining area. Large, well designed garden. The odd rare breed of small chicken grubbing contentedly around. ||||Owner David Darrah could not have been more welcoming to our party of four. We felt very well cared for right from the start. Also, he’s a great cook, providing the best B&B dinner we've had (it's helpful to chat through eating preferences you want to have when booking. Also, bring your own wines with you).||||This time we were passing through on our way to Cornwall and so only stayed one night. We hope to come back to Brewers Cottage next year and spend several days there as there's plenty to do round about: walks, interesting sounding places, gardens etc. Not to mention David and Rosie's warm hospitality.

Words are not enough to describe how wonderful this establishment is. This was our second visit and David and Rosie are so warm and welcoming. The breakfast is exceptional, home-made compote deserves an award!||We stayed in the Annex and it offers privacy and easy access for one to come and go without disturbing the lovely innkeepers.||The gardens are immaculate, and if you are lucky you will get a bespoke tour of the flora and fauna from David!||They have lovely pets as well, Molly and Robbie are almost as loveable as David.||We will be back for sure!

Stayed here for a couple of nights. What a delightful find. Beautiful cottage with fabulous gardens. Very clean and well appointed with top quality furniture and furnishings. Very comfortable beds. Delightful owners David and Rosie. Very accommodating and looked after us very well. The breakfasts were amazing, fresh eggs from their own ducks and chickens. Tomatoes from their greenhouse etc. The best fruit compote I’ve ever tasted. Will be back again.

The Village is beautiful and nestles in the village is the Brewers Cottage run by David and Rosie who are wonderful hosts . we stayed in the annex , very comfortable and roomy with a huge wet room, we had dinner with my sister & brother in law which was 3 course and tasted excellent . The gardens are lovely , with chickens running around & a most gorgeous cat called Molly ,
