The location is convenient for a short drive to city center. Rooms are ideal for the price and cozy. Staff is the standout quality though, they were incredibly accommodating and helpful even though we had issues booking through a third party service. The employees and manager could have just as easily told us this mistake was not their problem but they went above and beyond to help us meet our short holiday needs.

it's one of the oldest English-format houses. lots of ups and downs through narrow passages and easy to get lost in the house. was a cool experience to stay there. Parking is available for guests on the premises.|Breakfast will finish on time as in most UK hotels.

Good size carpark and it's free to use.
Quick check on all information given.
Room was up a flight of stairs, no lift available.
The room was a good size for a single person.
The bed was very very soft which I'm not a fan of!!
Shower was good
Wifi ok
For the price I paid it definitely was not worth that amount!
Location next to the train station and center, lots of nice walks close by.
Not sure if I would stay again unless it was cheaper! And a firmer bed too !!!

2 nights stay. Visiting my son.|Very nice staff in all areas. I slept really well. Nice quiet room. Lovely breakfast.|I will definitely stay again. It has everything you need for a short stay... I would recommend it. In general... It's 3 stars and priced to reflect it.

I guess it's okay if you have to stay here. Maybe I'm just not used to suburban UK hotels? The room was a closet. Once I finally found it because the signage was poor and the guy at reception threw convoluted directions at me at 11.30pm when I finally got there. The walls were so thin I had to bang on the wall to get the guy next to me to stop talking to his wife, whom I could also hear, on the phone at 1am. The breakfast guy was constantly angry. But it was what you could call, affordable!

The rooms weren't too bad for what yiu pay. We paid a high price because we came late, but the heater worked, the mattress wasn't great.

Staff relatively pleasant and helpful. Hotel itself is quite dated, room was very hot with no air con, shower pressure very low and no hot water. Room furnishings also dated. Hotel corridors very narrow, dated decor and musty smell.

Paid 130 (last minute, admittedly)
Ended up in a single room. Could hear everything through paper thin walls. Toilet didn’t flush, asked for it to be repaired or get a new room. Neither happened. No draught beer. Won’t be coming back
