I went to this beautiful quiet convent for a day retreat. I had unlimited tea/ coffee with biscuits and a delicious hot meal for a nominal price. Sister Julia really looked after me.

A FANTASTIC place. The Sisters (nuns) are all friendly and accommodating. Its a very restful and peaceful place too. Food is great (BB and/ or lunch-dinner). ...just remember, only fish is served on Fridays. VERY good prices!

Absolutely amazing, one of the cleanest places I have been too. Beautiful place to stay and the surrounding is breathtaking. Very quiet and peaceful. A peaceful night is a guarante. The nuns are friendly and helpful. And if you are a Catholic, and have time, you get to hear the mass every day! And if you fancy reading, they have a library with some interesting books too. Did I forget, all rooms are En suite with modern private shower cubicle.

The guest house is a hidden gem. Its a beautiful property which was renovated a few years ago. The rooms are very clean, comfortable and spacious. The en suite bathrooms are large with a contemporary feel in all rooms. There is on site parking and the gardens are stunning. An excellent over night stop over which was close to the Studios, where i was working for the week. St Bridgettines is a Convent, and the sisters are all friendly, welcoming and as you would imagine. The dining room is cosy and evening dinner is offered but basic. The rooms dont have tea or coffee making facilities, but the dining room has them and you can then take them to your room. The property is situated close to a beautiful park, for more peace and quiet. Overall, it was an exceptional stay, which suited my purpose perfectly. The cost is very reasonable and real value for money, given how close to London it is. The rooms were spacious and decor was very up to date. Would heartily recommend.

I stayed here last week as I attended a wedding at Pinewood Studio's, (which it is walking distance). It was a lovely room with a sofa, balcony, TV and en suite. The dΓ©cor is to a high standard & is nice and clean. I had a wonderful welcome from a sister. Its a lovely peaceful retreat with a back entrance to Black Park opposite. Breakfast is an additional Β£5 which is tea/coffee, juice, cereal, toast, bacon & egg, served promptly at the time agreed. I look forward to returning. I couldn't get the internet working but enjoyed the break from it so didn't advise staff.

I stayed here for a month and found the 12 Italian ensuite rooms are very large, clean, well decorated- upgraded a few years ago- This is ideal for either single or couples but not really children as it is too quiet. Plenty of car parking and is situated in the woods behind Pinewood Studios. It has its own chapel which they welcome you to attend their services if you wish and you can walk round their own grounds. Breakfast is extra to suit you. It is too reasonable at Β£ 35 per person per night that I think it might put people off. I enjoyed my stay. The community of nuns leave you to your devices and do not interfer or bother you.
