“Terrible Experience at Brilliant Hands Massage Spa”

Last Friday, my girlfriend surprised me with a two-person booking at Brilliant Hands Massage Spa, which I was really excited about after a long and stressful week. Unfortunately, my excitement didn’t last long once the massage started.

After being shown to the room, the therapists came in and started the massage without even asking if I had any muscle pain or specific issues like back pain. From the start, it felt like they didn’t know what they were doing—just rubbing oil on my back in the most amateur way possible. At first, I thought the therapist’s hands were too rough, but then I turned over and noticed something shocking: they were wearing gloves!

I’ve been to many massage places in my life, but this was by far the worst. Instead of using their hands for the massage, they even used a cheap vibrating machine, which felt ridiculous and unprofessional. When the session ended, we were shown to a shower that was filthy and far from hygienic. The cleanliness of the entire place was questionable, and the therapists clearly had no idea what they were doing.

In the end, we felt like we completely wasted our money. This place does not deserve the price they charge, and I would not recommend it to anyone.

Having been to Brilliant Hands on numerous occasions when they were based in Junction Road, I didn’t think twice about booking again. I went to the Kingsley Park terrace location, only after going to Junction Road, expecting the same level of service. Unfortunately when I got there it was locked up and only opened up at 14:10 ( I had a 14:00 appointment). No apology for the lateness, apart from blaming traffic!
The reception area was a mess, just a random table in a room, covered in an assortment of stuff! Not very welcoming. By the time I was ready to start, it was gone at 14:20. The massage seemed rushed and clumsy, no questions before hand at to what the problem areas where. The massage then was all done with by 15:00, having booked and paid for an hour! Will definitely think twice before going back. Time to find somewhere else!

Booked in for a couples massage. Very welcoming from the start. Spoke to us about what we would receive and even threw in a complimentary face mask for it being our first time there. We both felt relaxed throughout - we were asked questions about our comfort level which was great too. We left feeling great. Will definitely be back again.

If a weak, limp, one-handed massage (because the other hand held a mobile phone which was continually used in messaging god knows whomsoever) is your thing, then this is definitely a place for you!
Collectively ignorant and disinterested (apart from the finances) east european staff (noted because there was hardly a word of english spoken throughout) with rather overbearing music (not conducive with a calm or relaxing environment) punctuated with other staff members wandering in and out at leisure stopping to ‘chat’.
Absolutely shambolic like other reviews extremely disappointing. Would recommend avoiding...
