I decided to take the plunge and visit with my wife. The spa facilities were fantastic, really big a lot bigger than what the website and photos portray. The spa was all lovely and clean and well presented. It was not overly busy at the time of our visit which was nice. My wife decided to get a massage as she had a bad back and assured me it was up there with the best ones she's had. The staff were all lovely and friendly/welcoming and made us as first timers feel at ease. Good choice of food and snacks. Will visit again in the future.

Why have I never been here before?! Well now I have and will be back again and again. I was made so welcome by all of the reception staff in particular a young lady whose first name begins with H !! Within minutes of entering the chill out lounge the owner ( S) came out to see me and made me most welcome. She’s got a wild sense of humour and I warmed to her very quickly. I met some really lovely genuine people and was made most welcome by all. My 3 1/2 hours went too quickly! So looking forward to next time soon!

My partner and I were unfortunate enough to come across the manager/owner today who was both rude and incredulous. We arrived as a couple but my partner had to leave after an hour and I wanted to stay as I had bumped in to some friends there. We were told this was but possible as we had to leave together. After a short interchange with her, my partner agreed to pay for my to re enter as a single person and pay again, however she told us I was not welcome to return that day. I left half dressed, I was not allowed back in to get fully dressed or to let our friends know we had to leave. I have no idea what was wrong with her, but she was stomping around telling my partner to remind me of who she was! What she is, is an obnoxious individual with no regard for financial or customer relations gains. Given that my partner is a regular and had even supported her financially during Covid, I find her actions appalling and she obviously has a personal power struggle. This is far from the way any manager/owner should treat their clientele. You have been warned. To be clear, this is an accurate account of what happened and I have several witnesses who will happy concur, so any response will merely be her attempt of self importance again. Her farewell comment was that she wasn’t going to ban us! Don’t worry lady, I will never hand over my hard earned money to you ever again and suggest others avoid this establishment like the plague.

Firstly, I would like to say I’ve been to other naturist places, and by far this is in my top 3. I read the WHOLE website before actually going there, even ringing them to confirm information and to be spoken to by professional and non judgement people is truly warming. Also noticing the different ages of staff members that work there. Fantastic to see the younger generation helping! and I was told by many to check the reviews as it’s had a few negative comments in which would result in the customers fault. Rules and expectations are VERY clear. If you don’t like it or think it’s too regimented.. don’t go. Go somewhere that don’t have any rules, then you get people turning their nose up, saying it’s a place for the predators. BGHST is something you cannot compare to others. The facility is very clean, I even ran my fingers in some of the harder places and it was all clean. The place smells amazing. Some of the flooring (like in the reception area and up the stairs) is of carpet, it feels lovely on your feet, and you can just see and feel how clean it is as well as smell how clean it is. Reasonable prices for food and drink and again, would like to really express how clean the facilities are. It has a ‘classy and elegant’ type feel all around the place. Yes the owner Sam has strict rules in place, but they’re there for the safety for everyone and to enjoy the experience for what it actually is. I have seen some of the reviews where people are very angry, where as if they had read the information and etiquette in the first place, there wouldn’t be such problems. Make sure it’s a place you want to go before going, because if you don’t like it or don’t agree, that’s your fault, not the business.

My favourite place is the library, actually got to borrow a book, which I will return and also happy to donate some ‘like minded books’ that i know people would enjoy. The atmospheres is relaxed, staff are warm and welcoming and everyone is on hand at any given time: I took a friend there for his first ever like experience and he said he felt very safe and comfortable which I’m so pleased about and will be back sooner than later. I would definitely recommend it for first timers, and Experienced naturists and couples who just want a calm relaxing atmosphere to be free: I, myself who have experienced many places, this customer service by Sam (owner) and all her staff were by far amazing. She took her time to answer all my questions and even giving me a bit of history on the place which I LOVED. I’m keen to go back just to say hi. Even the customers around me were amazing, welcoming and not space invading or how I would describe some as ‘creeps’ in my opinion. It was nice to socialise with like minded and open minded people without being judged or swarmed. It was also nice to see a mix of genders.

I like how it has many rooms and facilities with 3 floors and a garden terrace. It’s a very warm homely and professional vibe all in one setting. Sometimes it’s the people and the staff that truly make the place what it is, and they have done so well turning it into the place it is today. So thank you and you shall see me soon!
