This is my local Argos store and use it regularly. Quite a good amount of items available. There are quite a few tablets to choose what you want and reserve it ready for when you go to the counter to pay instead of the old books. Large store, plenty of space so when it gets busy there is plenty of space for people to move about. Staff are friendly and helpful, haven't had a bad experience here.

Website gives FALSE information! Telling me I can order and collect a product TODAY from 4pm at this store. Only to process the order and now have to wait until Tuesday (3 Days away). Call custoemr services to speak to somebody about it, only to speak to someone in India with no knowledge of the English language, and then get cut off. Services are terrible, Argos continues to get worse every single year!

Incompetent and awful customer service.

In short, don't bother. Non-existent customer service, long delays, and incompetent staff. Won't be using Argos again.

The longer version - ordered a TV for £940 on online (using a 10% money off code, and £150 gift card) for home delivery. Was then randomly told by email that the order had been cancelled due to "not being available" a couple of days later, even though the website (Argos.com) said the model TV we wanted was in stock (which I confirmed the day the order was cancelled). Then phoned through to wait over an hour on the phone to get through a call centre in India, where no one can understand anyone else. The person on the phone was completely useless, simply repeating the usual corporate platitudes of "we're sorry for the inconvenience, please go in store...". Which I did. Not that was any more use - I ordered the model delivered to the local store, only to be told that it was now full price. Aftetr spending another hour on the phone, confirming that the money had been refunded and that the 10% off voucher and gift card had been refunded to the account, this could take up to 5 working days to appear on the account. When I went back in store for the second time (Bristol, Imperial Park), I was told I'd have to re-reserve the TV, despite ordering it for delivery to the store, and that I'd have to go in-store a third time.

I'm now stuck waiting for the coupon and money off code to show as credited to my account and that I'm going to have to go in store a fourth time to pick up a TV.

Come on guys...This is far too complicated and poor service for what *should* be a simple click and collect service.
I'll be going elsewhere for the TV now, and recommending others not to use Argos. If it takes a week, 2 hours on the phone and more than three store visits to pick up a TV - when Argos competitors don't seem to have these problems - why would I bother to use Argos again?

If someone from Argos would like to discuss this further, please do get in touch as I don't normally like to leave negative reviews and just want this sorted! Happy to amend a review if someone would like to get in touch from Argos - I just want my new TV 😉

Kind regards.

Staff are still misinforming customers that they can’t return items store unless they buy and extended warranty stating that you need to take it up with the manufacturer, this is wrong: statutory consumer rights are against the retailer the company that sold you the product rather than the manufacturer. Please stop telling your staff to misinform customers.

I have just received exceptional service from this store. I have mobility issues and couldn't return a faulty TV. One of the manager came to deliver me a new one and then took the old one away. He was really friendly and really happy to help. Thank you so much

Is ok, standard, staff are helpful and approachable. Easy convenient parking. Tend to get what you want, but shop around first. Bought bookcases recently, which we loved, high quality. Avoid at festive seasons, it gets busy.

The layout is nice BUT the computer service is now terrible! One computer said the item was in stock and then sent me back to the home screen, instead of taking me to the next step to pay. Told the shop assistant this then looked it up on another computer and it said it was out of stock... 2 seconds ago you had it!!! Don't understand why u have changed to a new system when the old one was fine and you could talk to a person about the products not a computer who cannot function correctly wasted time wasted day!

Fast service, but was told incorrect consumer advice.

Was offered Argos' ArgosCare aftercare package, and when I declined it I was informed that if the product was faulty I'd be unable to return the product to the store and would have to contact the manufacturer.

That's not how boxed electronics work in this country. In the UK you have the right to return electronic goods within 6 months to a year to the trader/retailer under the sale of goods act, and a 2 year warranty under the EU electronics warranty requirements.
