This café is truly a gem, exactly how cafés should be! The atmosphere is delightful, and the service from the chap at the till was warm and friendly, even when I changed my order at the last minute. The drinks met our expectations, and the 'guest' cake was nothing short of amazing. Although it’s popular, we always manage to find a seat.
My only minor complaint is that I wish the outdoor space at the rear was designated non-smoking.

Eggs benedict was really nice, I just wish the portions were bigger. I feel it's a bit pricey for what you get in there. I sat outside and the tables were dirty so I asked one of the young girls working if she wouldn't mind giving it a wipe down which she did happily and immediately although it wasn't that thorough so I still didn't really want to put my cutlery on the table. I also had to take my glass back and ask for a clean one which the girl obliged although proceeded to tell me it was only water marks. It was NOT only water marks, there was something brown stuck to the inside of the glass. Regardless, I don't think it was a great thing to say to a paying customer.

Visited Devises to look around the Thursday outdoor market...After we had a good look and bought a few bargains, we were then starting to get a bit peckish,so we decided to go to get something to eat and drink...There are several cafe's in the town.we decided to give Brogans a try,we were not disappointed as it wasn't bad at all...We got in sat down read the menu's ordered our food and with in ten minutes it is as being served,so the service was excellent...We both had a lovely mug of tea each the Mrs had her usual toasted teacake with strawberry jam,I had a ham cheese and tomato panini, which came with a small side salad,very enjoyable....There is plenty of seating as you walk in plus more seating down the stairs also seating out the front and back of the cafe for the warmer weather..... Went back again,this time we sat downstairs of the cafe as it was full up the top,very busy,we put our orders in & it arrived in about 10 minutes,so that was excellent service considering how busy it was...👍

Only been 4 times, staff lazy, rude as in young females attitudes. I was short by 15p and they wouldn’t allow me to buy food. I was spending £20 plus but was short by 15pence. It’s not a lovely environment, im struggling with severe mental health issues and get looked upon I shouldn’t be in there. Very pretentious cafe, I also had the steak ciabatta massively over priced for what you got. The owner needs to come back down to earth, but my review won’t matter!!!

Lovely local cafe serving home made cakes and delicious drinks. We even observed a minutes silence for the soldiers who sacrificed themselves for us.
