To begin with the positive, the staff were very kind, helpful, and welcoming. Sadly, beyond this everything else was disastrous. In short:
1) The rooms were: dirty, and the decor in a dreadful state (even the most recent paint decoration has been poorly executed and shows stains, marks, and damp areas)
2) The bedroom was grim, with dirty stained carpets, broken furniture and poor standard facilities. There were cobwebs and dust in most every corner.
3) The small corridor contains wardrobe and drawers were in a very poor condition - a not-so-recent appalling paint job making for difficulty when trying to open doors and drawers (and an internal overpowering smell of damp and mould rendering them unusable).
4) The bathroom was a disaster. Exceptionally poorly equipped with broken shower head holder, broken hand towel holder, damp and mould on the ceiling above the shower head (plaster falling off), a toilet seat that didn’t fit the toilet bowl (3 sizes too small); broken and lifting tiles around the base of the toilet bowl (I cut my foot inadvertently), grout from the floor tiles falling loose across the remaining tiles (highly questionable in terms of cleanliness and safety; poor decoration all round and no hand soap or shampoo (the reception staff allowed us to borrow their personal shampoo on the basis that the hotel “must have run out”!)
5) I was charged for the room on arrival only to check later that I had already paid well in advance when I originally booked. A refund was given without a quibble but I was informed that the hotel is not informed in advance of guests having paid in advance (a strange phenomenon which needs addressing without delay).
6) Food was poor to very average (dinner and breakfast) with evening service for food being highly restrictive in terms of timing and availability.
7) Sadly, the entire hotel is in decline - everything is incredibly ‘tired’ and ‘collapsing’ with an urgent need for a total refurbishment (not just a badly applied lock of paint this time around) if future visitors are to be able to write reviews that improve dramatically on this one. The ‘Buffalo Bill’ theme may sound an interesting one - and there are some quaint elements - but has little relevance or attraction at this site in rural England. The plastic plants, decorations (and their associated cobwebs and grime), are accompanied by worn, uncomfortable furniture and seating.

Decor was fantastic and staff were friendly on an arrival. A very empty restaurant….
Had to send one drink back as it had bits floating in it. Sadly waitress wrote our food order down wrong (finally knew from receipt) but no one checked back, so we couldn’t ask. Food was hot and fresh, and tasted ok.
My Daughters bun for her hot dog seemed stale however, and her kids meal was lacking any effort. We only ordered her pudding; why are marshmallows crunchy?! Stale, blanched, been under the hot plate…. Don’t know but very strange. It took a long time to get the bill because the staff were sitting on main reception on their phones. More attention definitely needs to be paid on the restaurant, so that tables are attending to. It was not busy but that doesn’t mean a 20 minute sit down whilst we’re waiting. My partner paid full price but I wish he hadn’t. No apology given. Table previous to us had also complained. Some definite improvements need to be made, we won’t return in a hurry.

We always come here for our family celebration meals... birthdays, father's day etc. We are a family of 7 with vastly different tastes. The food is always excellent, with choices for everyone; the service is always fantastic; the staff are always friendly. Today was 2 birthdays & father's day celebration meal...it was great, as always, and also fantastic value for money. Thank you.

A lovely country western themed resturaunt not too far from Uckfield.

The staff are very friendly and the food was brilliant for the price.
Very filling portions that taste great and a calm atmosphere made this a nice place to take a break from the motorbike ride.
I was genuinly surprised that the place empty on a Sunday evening because there is no reason for it to be.

5/5 Would visit again. 😁

Eaten here tonight for my birthday celebrations. Very friendly and clean environment. Lovely setting. The food was amazing. Everyone enjoyed it. Incredibly well presented, beautifully cooked and generous portions. We will definitely be coming back.

2nd time we have been here as a family to dine and both times we have found the food fantastic, good value and the staff great. Burgers are lovely and juicy and everything is perfectly cooked.
Definitely recommend here above some other American themed restaurants that are around where service and quality can be sketchy.

An excellent dining experience! The food was fantastic - I tried the ribs with the Southern Comfort sauce, which was absolutely delicious and served in a generous portion. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, checking in to make sure we had everything we needed.||The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with a lovely greeting from the owner. The ribs were outstanding, and while I didn’t try the burgers, they looked amazing. That said, I couldn’t help but feel a little envious of the fajitas - they looked amazing!||Highly recommend this place for great food, excellent service and a friendly vibe. I’ll definitely be back!

We went for my daughter's birthday. Not visited before and was pleasantly surprised. Greeted by friendly staff and a roaring fire. Nice and quiet which we liked. The food was good, my daughter had fish and chips and said it was the best she has had. We also had vegan quesadillas which were good as well. Overall it was a pleasant evening. We would go again.
