2nd time staying at Burnbake, same cabin no.17! Lovely touch having the ‘welcome back’ banner, it put a smile both on my partner and I faces. The breakfast parcel is just enough for two adults and something to get you on the way. I would like to pay acknowledgment that the team listen to feedback from these reviews - last time we came, the TV wasn’t brilliant, you couldn’t stream/ cast etc.. they have since updated to a smart TV that you can now do that as well as have your own Netflix whilst keeping all the regular channels. The Home Screen ‘greeting’ is a welcoming touch but was set to the previous people. ||The doggy products including local sourced shampoo, towel, bowls, doggy bags and chew was a really sweet touch. The cabin was clean and smelling fresh on arrival but could do with minor cosmetic touch ups etc (fraying wood in the bathrooms, chips in the kitchen cupboard etc.. i would happily stay in this lodge again and of course burnbake (it would be a different story in the summer as you would be REALLY exposed in front of the campsite and the noise could be unbearable I imagine) . ||It wouldn’t be my review if I didn’t leave some constructive suggestions 🙂 coffee machine is a must and shouldn’t be reserved for ‘premium cabins’, a coffee machine isn’t a premium product in this day and age. The master bed seems incredibly small and could forfeit one Bedside table to perhaps put a king size in? Lodge 17 specific, more mature foliage around the lodge would be brilliant and closing in the mini garden would but any doggy parent mind at ease (even human parents haha). ||Perhaps a mid stay call in from reception to ask how everything is going would be nice.. an enhanced loyal scheme would be a fab idea, bigger discounts, a couple of bottles of water on arrival? Discounts for local clothing stores such as Brakeburn etc.. So much could be done to enhance the stay ( not to say it’s bad without) ||The price is on point for what you get and will be booking again for 2025! Will be our third break with burnbake.

Liked: The site is in a great location and is very rural. There were bunny rabbits in the morning and the sunrise was stunning.
There is a great shop, cafe and full facilities. Staff were very friendly and i could choose my own pitch.
My highlight though was when after my shower in the morning i walked back towards the tent in my hair turban, i had some great eye contact and a smouldering smile from the most beautiful bald man.

Disliked: Whilst there was plenty of space it was a bit like being on a very crowded beach as the site is huge and there were therefore so many people there. (Summer holidays) As i laid in my tent at night i heard all kinds of conversations i probably shouldn’t have been party to and in the morning shared in the experience of many a child screaming as they woke.
My shower was like a barely running tap. Absolutely none of the water came anywhere close to spraying me or in fact doing anything shower like and i was in there when the block was almost empty so not a pressure issue. I can only speak for the one shower as i was starkers by the time i realised how disappointing the experience was about to be and not prepared to grab all my stuff and streak to another stall. Most of the site is serviced just by porta loos (which are gross as expected when people have used them in the dark) so although there are showers they are a long way from most of the site.
If you visit away from summer holidays and use the main shower block rather than porta loos i think this would be a beautiful site and i would certainly come back when all the little darlings are back at school and give it another go.

Our sixth time in just over two years at Burnbake Lodges. As always the lodge was so comfortable, cosy and clean. The staff were as friendly and helpful as ever - including during the power cut during Storm Darragh. The hot tub was immaculately clean and very inviting after running the coastal path half marathon. Such a lovely relaxing break

Liked: We had an amazing time, we loved the campsite and the location, it was very peaceful. The showers were lovely and warm and toilets were clean. I loved the cafe and the shop was really handy.

Disliked: It would be nice if they had an area with electric points where you could plug in a hairdryer or hair straighteners and where you could do your make up, as the Toilets were too busy for this and you felt like you were in everyone’s way.

Liked: A well equipped shop and beautiful surroundings made this a very pleasant stay. Facilities were clean and never got overly busy. Ability to hire a fire pit is always a plus, and the campsite was a nice hike away from Corfe Castle.
Site is also an absolute wildlife haven, we saw an owl in the wild for the first time ever, right above our tent! It also has beautiful dark skies so definitely bring a telescope!

Disliked: Timer buttons on showers and taps were way too short, we had to pretty much hold the buttons down to keep the water running.
Firepit hire was a little more expensive than other sites, as they charge per-night rather than a flat fee for the stay (not too bad though!)
We had absolutely no signal, no fault of the campsite but something to be aware of!

Having stayed at Burnbake a few years ago, we returned with our new 4 legged family member. lodge 16 was absolutely amazing . Perfect size , and was so peaceful and quiet. The welcome pack of breakfast essentials was well received . |Axel enjoyed the furry legged welcome pack , this was such a lovely touch . The standard for a pet friendly lodge was extremely good .|We enjoy walking , and didn’t need to use the car at all . The log burner was most welcome and used daily . |Only issue was the dishwasher not working , we did let the lovely reception team know ( we were not worried as it was just the 2 of us ). ||Looking to book our break for next year . We came away so relaxed.

Liked: This is the first time I’ve taken my children camping. The staff were really helpful and gave me information clearly. The site was beautiful, the grass pitch was spacious and all visitors were respectful and kind. The facilities were clean. We will definitely be coming back next year.

We hired a fire pit which was great value for money. The shop have all the essentials.

Highly recommend this site

We had a lovely weekend to celebrate my birthday. Christian, the chef, came to our lodge and prepared an incredible meal for us. This is the 3rd time we have been to Burnbake and hope to come back soon. The lodges are lovely and the location is great.
