I recently visited Burntwood Court for the first time, primarily to enjoy the spa and wellness day with my mother. We were very pleased with the facilities and service during that visit, which motivated me to consider it as a venue for a special weekend with my husband for our anniversary. I booked our stay through Booking.com, which I find very convenient.

Initially, I attempted to add breakfast and spa access to our reservation via the booking platform, but it was not possible. I decided to arrange these on arrival at the reception.

Upon check-in, I was met with an unwelcoming attitude from the receptionist. She looked at us somewhat strangely when she found out we had booked our room through a booking platform, which felt uncomfortable. She didn’t ask us if we could afford the additional services, but she repeatedly mentioned the prices of breakfast and wellness options multiple times, which gave us an impression that we might not be able to afford them.

Furthermore, she explained that the spa was upstairs with procedures, and that what we wanted was called "club entrance." This unnecessary clarification made us feel as though we did not belong there, which was disheartening, especially since we arrived happy and eager to enjoy our stay.

Additionally, we were not provided with information regarding breakfast timings or restaurant options; we had to discover these details ourselves from a brochure. We also ordered food from outside, as no one informed us about available dining options. This lack of communication was frustrating, especially given the expectation of a high standard for the price paid.

During breakfast, I was quite disappointed by the behavior of the staff. One staff member was yawning openly without covering their mouth, which I found extremely unprofessional and disgusting—especially in a setting where guests are trying to enjoy their meal.

After about 20 minutes, we went to our room in the building with the pool and spa. The second receptionist was very friendly and confirmed that payment had been received, which was reassuring after the initial confusion. However, the first receptionist later contacted the spa reception to verify the payment, claiming we had not paid, which caused unnecessary stress.

The spa and wellness facilities themselves were excellent and provided a relaxing experience. Unfortunately, our stay was marred by other issues. For example, at 7:20 AM, we were awakened by a car parked just 3 cm from our bedroom window, despite a large parking area only 10 meters away. This was both disruptive and disappointing, especially given the price of the room.

Overall, I expected a higher standard of service considering the price and the options offered. The breakfast was quite expensive compared to the limited menu, and the staff’s manners and professionalism varied, which impacted our overall experience. While the facilities and wellness services are excellent and would encourage us to return for that aspect alone, the service and certain aspects of the accommodation did not meet our expectations.

In conclusion, while Burntwood Court has fantastic spa and wellness amenities, I believe there is room for improvement in customer service and communication. I would not choose to stay here again for a visit.

Lovely location and friendly staff. Nice sized room and bathroom.

Was put in a double when I booked a King and have barely slept due to the mattress being hard and springy. If the mattress situation was changed and the beds were comfortable I'd definitely come back as otherwise it was lovely but unfortunately I can't justify paying to go to a hotel where I'm not able to sleep.

I'd definitely come back to use the spa/club and the restaurant again though.

What a gem to have found this hotel. Staff were helpful and friendly. Rooms very quiet, comfy bed and well equipped. Breakfast was delicious, best fruit salad and then eggs and tomatoes and toast.croissants if you had room. Added to this a superb pool, clean, ideal temperature and again friendly staff. Sauna, steam room and hydrotherapy pool. We went for a nice walk from the hotel and around the hotel grounds which are well kept. Supper in the bar was excellent. Tasty food and large portions. Highly recommended

This place is twice the price of anywhere else in the area. It has Paper thin walls, you can literally hear the next doors conversation. Urghhh sausage on the breakfast. Room is absolutely nothing special, bed not particularly comfortable, stain on the white bed quilt, stain or it wasnt clean. insane light on the phone that couldn't be turned off, labyrinth to get to the room, corridors feel super cheap with horrible doors. And shower curtain around the bath/shower. Honestly, what self respecting place still has a shower curtain. |Wish I'd have saved my self £50 per night and gone to a chain hotel. Locals said it was "fancy there" no, it's just over priced.

We visited the hotel for a spa day. The location is gorgeous with beautiful views.The building is very clean and well kept.The reception lets you through a barrier to the Spa and gym..We are always looking for a relaxing space to sit and chill in our robes but the spa does not include a place or room for this.However we had coffee in the bar before getting changed.We opted for the children's play area seats as it was lighter there and we could see the view.The bar looks onto the pool but there is frosted glass half way up the window which I think is a great idea.We were shown into the changing room and given an electronic key for the lockers but these seemed very tempremental. There was a keep fit class in the pool so we went in the steam room which was lovely.Sometimes these get very hot but this one was just right .We had our light lunch in the bar and went to the spa area upstairs for a treatment.The waiting place for treatment was very nice..subdued lighting with artificial candles surrounding us.This would have been an ideal relaxing area.A few screens could convert this.The treatment was excellent.The room was very comfortable. I had a body brush followed by a massage.

My colleague and I have stayed at Burntwood Court on business, on and off for 7 weeks now. The team on the front desk, especially Amanda, are absolutely fantastic and could not do enough for us. The gym, pool, sauna and steam room are all great and the food in the bar was lovely. All in all, our stay here has been extremely enjoyable, and we look forward to returning again in 5 months time. We had lunch here and the food was 10/10, great portions and really really tasty. The staff were all friendly and helpful, the atmosphere was great and the area was clean-what more could you ask for? We can’t wait to return again for our next outing.

Our sons wedding on the 04.04.25, absolutely amazing. The venue was superb. Staff brilliant and the whole package was outstanding.
