Room was clean, slightly dated in the bathroom. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. They kindly looked after our bags after we checked out while we headed into town.

Great place to go to to stay when visiting Bury St Edmunds. It's located in the old town. Rooms are cosy. Great food and great selection of beers at the bar. Friday night is music night.

Hotel is well located in a beautiful part of bury, but.....
The car park is garbage. 9 spaces total, serving 9 rooms, 9 spaces occupied when we arrived, had to park on the street. Turns out this is preferable, when I did manage to get in the car park, the car sustained damage to the front skirt on exit, due to the horribly cambered/potholed exit ramp.
The flooring throughout the hotel is uneven to the point of being dangerous, there are trip hazards everywhere. This extended to our room, which had a roughly 'u' shaped bathroom floor.
Food was average to poor, as was the service.
