Popped in for a quick takeaway flat white. The staff were friendly, and one lady kindly asked if I wanted anything else. I noticed they were serving sandwiches and, since it was lunchtime, decided to get a Tuna Mayo Sandwich.

I was quite surprised when the total came to £10.25 for just a flat white and a sandwich! At that price, I was hoping for something exceptional (see picture). Unfortunately, the sandwich didn’t live up to expectations, and I won’t be stopping by for lunch again at that cost.

That said, the flat white was good—on par with most independent coffee shops

*UPDATE*

Since my original review below, they've finally listened and now provide a couple of savoury options (sausage rolls, cheese & bacon turnover) alongside the cakes & donuts.

Also, a fantastic new seating area so there are alternatives to uncomfortable bar stools. Lovely comfy chairs added along with a sofa. Don't forget they're dog friendly so you can sit with your pooch whilst you enjoy a coffee. Still expensive though at £4 for a donut...or a sausage roll.

Lovely coffee and great design. I love sitting here just watching the world go by. Staff always friendly and helpful. There are however a couple of minor niggles:

1) Needs some sort of modesty screen on the lower part of the window where the seats are all bar stools at a fixed bar height table running the full length of the cafe.

2) They only sell cakes, so no breakfast options. Even a basic range of croissants, pain au chocolate etc would be welcome.

3) Service can be slow, coffee takes a long time to make so if there's a queue you can be waiting 10 minutes for your drink.

I love the cakes and the drinks are very good. The lady that serves us normally is rally nice.once they didn't have the drink i wanted so they gave me a free one with was very nice. Love the new revamp

Beautiful donuts and lots of choice.
Though is an indoor seating area its a high seat by a bar type side, would prefer normal table and chairs so recommend as take away. It is dog friendly.

Used to always pop in to Butterwick with my partner and dog. Funnily enough for the Butterwick dog biscuits you could buy. However for over a month they haven’t had them in stock.
Our dog pulls us in and wants his treat and because we have to say no and feel guilty we leave promptly without our hot drinks either!

Love that dogs are allowed in and the coffee is quite nice!

Burnt coffee and burnt sausage roll. Doughnut was more like a cake. Kinda disappointing. Staff was pleasant at least.

Everyone is so nice and lovely to their customers, it’s a brilliant place to stop by get a sweet treat and even if the queue is out the door I got served within 5 minutes and waited 2 while it got packed! They have such good prices for such amazing cakes but overall I love this place and would highly recommend, love the idea of pupachinos and pup cakes so they don’t feel left out and I love that it’s dog friendly. Everyone is so lovely I recommend the old skool traybake it’s such a simple cake but tastes AMAZING!!!!

£6 for a coffee and a cookie was a bit steep, especially as the coffee wasn't great.. luke warm and not enough actual coffee. Cookie was ok but not good enough to justify the price I think. It was nice and warm inside but the fact that it was empty when I went in I think says a lot.
