Lovely little cafe serving coffee cakes and light lunches. We had hot chocolates and cakes this afternoon. All delicious but definitely couldn’t have more than one cake! Loads of vegan options.

Nice coffee. Bacon butty wasn’t good. Stale bread, not real bacon it looked like spam, and they forgot the ketchup….

We came from Cheshire 29th Nov for Xmas shopping. I've been to cafe Solo many times, and food in the past was good. This time dreadful , verbally poor.
Food ordered by my husband and daughter cold, not on bread as described on the menu. We waited ages for food to be informed by cook almost sold out of every thing due to busy Saturday. He said, "Would I mind bread roll for sausagess said no problem at all. He said no staff, hence our long wait. My daughter was treating us, so we did not like to kick up a fuss.
People after us turned away staff stating no more food.
Why not put a notice first thing on the door stating drinks only?
Why allow us to order knowing very little fresh food left in the kitchen?
I was so upset my daughter spent £25 of her hard earned money on food only fit for the bin.
It was only later on that we all admitted what a terrible experience it was.
The heating also never came on

Cafe Solo is proof that just because you've always wanted a cafe does not mean you should buy one if you don't have the experience to back it up.
I used to get coffee from them 5 times a week and food 3 times but now ill only get something from there if someone else has bought it for me.

The decor is awful and doesn't look finished, the ingredients are insanely inferior to what they used to be, the coffee can only be served small because whoever bought the large takeout cups hasn't been a cafe since the 1980s.

Its up for sale (again), good.

Never been to a more friendler cafe. Me and my friend went on Monday and the staff and people were just so friendly and lovely. The food and drinks were amazing as well, really enjoyed the victory sponge cake and my friend enjoyed her milkshake, she drank it within seconds lol. 100% be going again when I have free time.

Fabulous breakfasts on two successive days. Eggs Benedict with local sausage and bacon had me close to tears. Exceptional. Friendly and speedy service
