We stayed in the 2 bedroomed cottage ‘Cart Shed’ which was absolutely beautiful. We couldn’t have been more delighted with our choice. Whoever is responsible for the interior design has a great eye and exquisite taste. Furniture and fittings are high quality and really well thought through. The living space is a joy to be in with its fireplace, big comfy sofa, chic kitchen and multi channel telly. The fridge was stocked with delicious breakfast basics and there’s also a little Honesty Bar. The 2 bedrooms are en-suite and boast both bath and shower, alongside high end products like Aesop, Cowshed and Olaplex. The bedding is also super lux and we slept like logs. The layout of Cart Shed is great for privacy, with the 2 bedrooms at opposite ends of the living area. The rural setting and gorgeous outlook over fields further adds to the tranquil stay, plus, it’s an adults only property. In addition, Cart Shed enjoys a spacious outdoor terrace, well shielded from neighbours, with upscale garden furniture and a hot tub. |Horningsea is around 15 minutes drive from Cambridge centre, making it handy for restaurants and shopping, though the village has a couple of walkable-to pubs of its own. The accommodation is accessed through a coded gate, giving it a secure, secluded, exclusive feel, and of course, there’s ample, immediately adjacent parking.|I would have to agree with the previous reviewer in that the cottage could have done with a more scrupulous clean, the glassware cupboard in particular was well overdue a more thorough going over. |Nevertheless, I’d return in a heartbeat to this beautiful place.

When we arrived, we were impressed by the beauty of the area and its serene surroundings. The lovely views and peaceful atmosphere were just what we were looking for, and the smooth check-in process—plus having the cottage available earlier than expected—was a nice touch. The cottage itself felt cosy and inviting at first glance.||However, I wanted to provide some constructive feedback as there were several issues during our stay that left us disappointed, especially considering the premium rate charged. We were expecting a higher standard, and unfortunately, cleanliness and maintenance fell short in several areas:||• Dustbin drawer: It had a persistent unpleasant smell every time it was opened, indicating it hadn’t been aired out.|• Hot water tap and kettle: There was a build-up of scale around the kitchen tap and inside the kettle.|• Oven: It was dirty, which I find unacceptable in a rental property.|• Bathroom shampoo bottle: There was a long black hair on it, which was unhygienic.|• TV remote: It wasn’t working. We even purchased new batteries, but it still didn’t function. Though the host mentioned having a spare, that also didn’t work, so we had to operate the TV manually.|• Bathroom sink: The sink was blocked, causing water to build up while in use.|• Duvet: There were bloodstains on the duvet, which I discovered when the sheet came undone. This was deeply upsetting and absolutely unacceptable.|• Bedroom table lamps: If both bedside lamps were switched on, they flickered and couldn’t stay on together. Only one could be used at a time.|• General cleanliness: There were dusty areas, cobwebs, and overall a lack of thorough cleaning.||The most alarming issue was the bloodstains on the duvet, which I only noticed on the last day. Cleanliness is a fundamental expectation, especially when paying above-average rates. It feels as though cleaning may be outsourced, but the quality is far from the standard portrayed in your listing.||Also, offered not enough towels only one small towel. When there is two occupants. With two large towels

Had such a lovely time at the cottage. We stayed at the Hay Loft, it was perfect for a relaxing getaway. The accommodation comes equipped with a hot tub which was ready on arrival making the stay more comfortable.

The cottages are a close distance to Park & Ride making it easy to travel into the Cambridge city centre. Will definitely be revisiting again and I’d recommend it to all, especially couples!

Stayed in the The Buttery cottage for 1 night. It is stunning, beds are really comfy and cosy as is the whole cottage. Quality hand soap (Aesop), shampoo & conditioner (olaplaex) including body wash (cowshed). Quality of features are beautiful! Breakfast is basic but just how we like it, fresh homemade seeded loaf, eggs, jam, cereal, milk and butter. ||My only constructive feedback would be, but please bear in mind I am a clean freak, kitchen handles marked and look dirty, fridge had a funny smell, bathroom lights need a clean, shower drain looks dirty and my final note would be there are no slippers or robes. These are small areas that can be easily sorted. Slippers are needed for the brick floor, which is beautiful & rustic. ||That all being said, I would definitely return to stay in one of the bigger cottages as only stayed one night this time. ||Area lovely and peaceful, small village with 2 lovely pubs close by and not far from the city.

Loved every minute of our stay. Fiona was amazing and Adam was very helpful. The Cart Shed has been crafted and furnished thoughtfully and had everything we could need. Easy to get into Cambridge town but a peaceful stay with some amazing views. We will definitely be back!

Beautifully converted barn, tastefully decorated with luxury bath and shower and well equipped kitchen. Views over countryside. We'll supplied with 6 eggs, a fresh crusty loaf, strawberry jam, milk and butter. The bathroom supplies were high quality "cowshed & aesop's" (the pictures are of one of the bathrooms taken from either end and one of the bedrooms)

I stayed here last minute as a family member could no longer make it. The Old Dairy Cottage was beautifully decorated and there were lots of lovely little touches.
Outside is a gorgeous garden and furniture so you can sit and relax.
There is a small shop and a few different pubs within a mile and close to Cambridge.
Would love to stay again.
