Staying at Capel Courtyard is an amazing experience. Everything was perfect and nothing was too much trouble for our host Georgina. The house is stylishly and luxuriously decorated with everything carefully thought out. We liked that the guest accommodation is separate from the main house. We stayed in the self contained Clock House with its own living room, kitchenette and snug, but the two rooms in the main house also had their own large sitting room and dining area.||We also enjoyed strolling around the large landscaped grounds. ||This is the perfect base for exploring the Kent countryside and attractions.

We spent two nights at this wonderful B&B - not nearly long enough. The house is beautiful, built round an elegant courtyard and with an amazing garden and woodland where you can relax. Our bedroom was spacious and comfortable and the sitting area/ library provides a wonderful space to relax. Georgina prepared delicious breakfasts with locally sourced ingredients, many from the garden. She also was a mine of excellent information about where to eat and where to visit. There are wonderful gardens nearby eg Great Dixter, Pashley Manor and Sissinghurst. This is certainly somewhere we will not hesitate to return to. A truly fabulous find!

Stylish, fresh and extremely comfortable accommodation, fitted to the highest standard. Capel Courtyard is less B&B - more luxurious private retreat. All spaces, inside and out, are beautifully presented and immaculately maintained. Our accommodation, the Clockhouse, was bright, spacious and very well designed, with every detail considered. Georgina and Ian clearly have a talent for creating elegant environments and for graciously and warmly welcoming guests. They possess a wealth of information about the local area, and are happy to share all, from excellent cycling routes to the best dining options. Breakfast is not to be missed! A delicious array of fresh fruit, local preserves, homemade muesli, honey & sausages and scrambled eggs with smoked salmon - all presented in a lovely library setting. Capel Courtyard's setting is idyllic and the overall experience exceptional. We look forward to returning.

The gardens were beautiful, providing lots of space to relax in. The breakfast was delicious, with lots of local produce and unique touches. Georgina was very hospitable and a generous host - we had a fantastic stay at Capel Courtyard. Liz and Rich

I stayed here at Georginas beautiful B&B with my sister in laws and Neice for a joint 40th/18th celebration. The accommodation is simply gorgeous, done to a admirable high specification. The grounds are very special, not a leaf out of place and planting that puts Kew gardens to shame. The Hydrangeas must be on steroids.||Georginas breakfasts were amazing, local products and cooked to perfection. ||We were the first guests so a few bits were missing, champagne glasses and bottle opener but these were given immediately.||Georgina recommended the local Boathouse for a kayak trip which we thoroughly enjoyed. ||Thankyou for a restful stay and for sharing your stunning location. ||We wish Georgina all the best with this venture.

From the moment you arrive, a feeling of calm emanates from the warm Wealden stone walls and beautifully planted raised beds that greet you. Through an archway, into the formal box hedge beds with fountain at its centre, you quickly realise you are somewhere very special.||||We had 3 nights in the Lilac room, which together with the Library and the bright, airy drawing room complete with working fireplace occupies an entire wing of Geogina and Iain’s family home. Georgina discusses the numerous options for breakfast the evening before, and certainly “goes the extra mile” when catering for any palette. The food was fresh, often very local and totally delicious as well as being in generous supply. There is a choice of several teas and coffees as well as fresh milk and water. You are made to feel very much at home, knowing that your hosts are available if needed whilst not being intrusive. The gardens are another delight, ranging from imaginatively planted formal beds and herbaceous borders to large wooded areas featuring some unusual tree specimens. ||||One of the attractive features of Capel Courtyard is a lack of television - my husband and I have come home completely recharged and de-stressed having spent evenings playing games (a good selection is supplied) or reading, again with plenty of books in the library available to dip into.||||I would whole heartedly recommend a stay at Capel if you are seeking the calm and sense of space that is sadly, to often missing in ones “normal” everyday life. It is a genuine treat.

Stayed here in the Clockhouse with 3 friends. It was exactly what we all needed. A beautiful property with all details thought of in a stunning setting. Georgina couldn't have been more helpful and her restaurant recommendations were spot on (The Poet at Matfield was real treat). ||Nothing was too much trouble for Georgina, who kindly supplied crockery, cutlery and a wine cooler for an evening in on the Friday of our stay. ||The bedding, accessories and toiletries were all lovely White Company products and the kitchenette was supplied with fresh milk, high quality tea and coffee etc. ||Highly recommend.

Amidst a meticulous profusion of hydrangea, agapanthus and lavender, one would be forgiven for thinking they had stepped into a Tuscan villa when first setting eyes on this quite remarkable property. ||||We arrived just as the lengthening afternoon sun drenched the beautiful brickwork in deep golden hues. An attractive fountain in the centre of the courtyard splashed playfully as a pair of wood pigeons cooed in almost gentle welcome to us. ||||We knew almost instantly that this is no ordinary B&B. ||||Georgina and Iain have created something special. The attention to detail and eye for exquisite finishes is obvious across every square inch of this property. Take for instance the drawing room of the main house. Graduated sandy tones meet bold geometric patterns and vibrant impasto to open up an inviting, even playful space. The bedrooms are indulgent. Not a sign of the ubiquitous contrived patina found in so many countryside retreats! Instead you will find fresh, bright, well appointed and above all else comfortable curation. From crisp White Company bed linen, to the freshly picked flowers changed daily, the aim is unambiguous - imbue complete restoration in the guest. A well-being theme that carries over to a splendid breakfast where the locally sourced, organic fare is accompanied by what might be the best omelette in all of Kent! ||||Our thanks to Georgina and Iain not only for their exceptional hospitality, but simply for opening up and sharing their quite remarkable little corner of the Garden of England.
