My husband and I stayed here at the tail end of our trip (from US) to England and Wales. Mel's B&B was by far the most comfortable stay we had! The bedroom is lovely, the bed was so comfortable, everything you needed was there, the bathroom had bath soaks provided -- everything was thoughtful and top quality. Our view was of the field across the way which happened to have sheep and their lambs, it was bucolic and so peaceful. Mel's breakfast was the best we had, generous breakfast and cooked to perfection. Mel is a lovely person and made us feel at home. We highly recommend!

Lovely large room, very clean, quiet and bright, comfy bed, fridge in room with the usual coffee making facilities, good WiFi. Breakfast was awesome and also had gluten free bread! We never ventured out as we wanted to rest after a long drive but there were several eateries within a short drive. ||Thanks for looking after us Mel & Nell 👍🏻

We really enjoyed our 3 night stay at Capernwray house at the end of February. From our arrival it was evident that this was going to be a great place to stay. The food was exceptional and the range of different options for breakfast impressive, plentiful and well cooked. Our room was spacious, with lovely views over the garden, and views to the surrounding countryside.||Capernwray House is well located for visiting Lancaster, Morecambe, Kendal, the Lakes, Dales and the coast, there is so much to see and do. ||Mel is a great host and we would have no hesitation in recommending Capernwray House to anyone.

Fantastic B&B in quiet & charming Carnforth. Friendly, comfortable, and clean. The breakfast was outstanding. Mel, our host, went out of her way to make our stay truly delightful. Can’t say enough good things about this accommodation. Stay here, it's a dream!

Wonderful B&B, one of the best in my experience. Top quality B&B in every way. Mel was a great host, very welcoming and well organised. For those who want a quiet overnight stay in the country, you can't do better than this. Breakfast was tremendous too!

From the minute we arrived until we left Mel was a fantastic host. She made us feel most welcome in her home. She made us coffee and cake after showing us the room.|The room was spacious, the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was large and very clean. We had a very good nights sleep as it was very quiet. Breakfast was excellent with a good range to choose from. I would go as much as to say one of the best breakfasts we have had when staying in a b and b. We would not hesitate to recommend a stay here. You will not be disappointed. Nice location, and easy to find. Lovely large room to relax in after a busy day. Quiet, didn’t know there was anyone else there until breakfast time. Great breakfast and lovely host. All in all a great place to stay. Would recommend if you are looking for somewhere to stay in and around Capernwray.
