Super-friendly staff, amazing views and top-drawer dining all helped to make our short stay unforgettably brilliant. The Cary Arms has such a lovely vibe which you pick up on arrival. The place is relaxed but at the same time, very classy - and the whole team there can't do enough for you. We stayed in one of the beach huts which are really comfy and modern. We loved all the little touches like wine in the fridge etc. Must mention the spa - which is terrific. The ladies who work there are all experts and so warm and friendly. Take it slow driving down to the hotel and be wary of the private car park at beach level. The Cary Arms does have its own car park tucked away back up the hill and they offer valet parking. Anyway, a five star experience - thank you.

My husband and I have just returned after a 2 night stay to celebrate his birthday, and it was absolutely wonderful! |Every single staff member was incredibly friendly and accommodating, and our room was spotless and had everything you could possibly need. Nothing was too much hassle for any of the staff and we felt very well looked after. |Waking up to the uninterrupted sea view and the sound of the waves is really quite special! |We had 3 course dinner in the restaurant the first evening and both agreed our meals were 10/10, made even better by the amazing views over the bay from the conservatory as we ate. |Breakfast is a continental buffet and a menu of various hot options made to order. ||The valet parking service is a real bonus because the road down to the hotel is incredibly steep (and not one I fancied walking at 31 weeks pregnant!) ||Torquay seafront is just a short drive away, and Paignton was about 25 minutes’ drive. ||This really was the perfect short stay, and I’d recommend the Cary Arms to anybody - the only downside is having to leave!

Booked for Cary Arms restaurant for a meal following our wedding day, the staff went above and beyond to make our evening special. They made sure we had a table with an amazing view, food was incredible and they even gave us complimentary fizz which was an unexpected surprise. Very good, can’t wait to come back again in the future!

Linda and Brad were so attentive and kind. My dog got spoiled too. Thank you we had the best time. The rooms are clean and have all you need. The spa is wonderful and the view is amazing from all over the premises. The breakfast and Sunday roast is amazing.

This is an amazing place to stay. Fantastic views, incredible accommodation and wonderful staff. Breakfast and evening meals were excellent and the staff did everything possible to ensure we had a relaxing, special weekend. The only negative is that we had to leave!

We love the hotel, the location and the ambiance. It's lovely to sit outside in the sun overlooking the sea and sit cosily in the pub by the fire in Winter. Everybody makes us feel special starting with the lovely welcome by Julie and Brad, through to the lovely girls who make up our room and the often unseen, but much appreciated, people who provide the turn down service, with a sweet on the pillow and a hot water botttle on the bed. Linda always makes the sun shine at meal times, whatever the weather, and although we can't mention everyone's name, we can say that all the staff are amazing We go twice a year because we can’t wait to go back. Need we say more.

The most relaxing stay I've had all year. An amazing hotel with a beautiful spa and a Michelin star restaurant. Everything was 10/10. The breakfast was exceptional. The dinners were fabulous and the treatment in the spa with Steph and Erin were just out of this world||The location is to die for. Right on the most picturesque beach anywhere in Devon with waterfalls and so many other natural beauty around it. At nights it's enchanting and the sunrise is mindblowing all from the private beach huts overlooking the sea ||And finally what makes this gem of a hotel so super is its people. Brad and Julie are the perfect duo to welcome you and make you feel at home. Aaron is excellent and always is available to take us to the top of the hill. The perfect stay for a getaway to recharge your batteries

Amazing location looking out over the bay. What an absolute gem. All of the staff have made us feel so welcome. Great food in the restaurant, loads to do including paddle boarding and kayaking close by. Hope to come back soon.
