Stayed for 5 days, hotel looked and felt amazing and I was lucky enough to be given one of the good rooms! as many of our group were given very small rooms that felt like staff accomodation with tired mattresses. I had a double bed to myself which I didn't get one good nights sleep in as the mattress felt very tired and unsorportive ( I would of prefered a Premier Inn room) There was a fair amount of noise experienced from planes coming in to land at Birmingham airport in the mornings.||Staff were ALWAYS very friendly and helpful, we had breakfast every morning which was lovely, plentiful with lots of choice and couldn't fault whatsoever. The breakfast and dining room was a fantastic room to eat in. 10 of us had dinner one evening in a private room and we all enjoyed the room and food.|£7.50 a pint in the bar!!!!! If the drinks were more reasonable our group would of eaten and had drinks in this hotel every night instead of venturing out.||If the matresses were comfortable and the drinks were at a reasonable price this would of easy been a 5 star rating.

Had my wedding here August 2024 and what a fantastic day it was went smooth start to finish, with the help of the wonderful Marius, thank you! Was a pleasure to have you coordinate our special day. The staff are very helpful and prompt, the grounds are lovely and tidy. My rooms were set with table wear - I did my own decoration which they aloud me to in my own time no problem it was lovely. There was no pressure it was a pleasure. I’d love to do it all over again. Lovely wedding breakfast. Recommend!

Had a wonderful time for my 75th Birthday Bash. We were a party of 10 and had the Festive Meal in the Garden room (private dining area). The meal was EXCELLENT ! The service from Maurice (hotel manager) and dining room staff was perfect. Just right, no rushing, or waiting for service in the dining room. Three bedrooms were booked for over night. All three were very clean, comfortable and of excellent standard. The breakfast in the morning was fine. Trad British, and continental. Everyone of my guests were delighted, and have commented days afterwards how great it was. No, I'm not associated with the Hotel.

My husband and I had a really nice stay here. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the room was very clean, with a modern bathroom and very comfy bed. |We didn’t have a meal but we did have some drinks in the bar and a snack which were very nice. The next day we had a continental breakfast. The fruit salad was amazing along with the selection of cereals and pastries. Thank you for a lovely stay.

went there first time ever for afternoon tea experience, served by two young attendants very professionally.. special dietary requirements were taken care of. the tea and coffee were nicely presented and warm.. sandwiches are ok ..but cakes and scones were very nice.. quantity was enough for two of us.. nicely presented… the building is nicely managed but definitely required TLC

Pristine room: sheets and towels were whiter than white. Lovely, clean environment. Good range of food for breakfast, including doggie treats for Poppy. Staff were welcoming and helpful. Even the gardener was friendly towards my dog. Great place to visit as the gardens are extensive and make it easy to exercise your dog.

It's an old Manor house which has had no professional restoration that I can see, which kind of adds to the charm. The window bays that are missing have been replaced with boards with window panels painted on them..which, when you notice is poor...the room we stayed in was airy enough, such a comfortable bed, clean with a giant window on the ground floor, whilst lying on the bed the staff from the kitchen pass by!!!
The barman and receptionist were knowledgeable and nice mannered...
This is a good place for weddings as the grounds are big enough for mixing and outdoor socialising. It obviously caters for small to medium wedding parties, as the dining hall was set out very nice for the meal....
Overall a nice stay with a great breakfast ,I'll even forgive the cold bacon...
Yes definitely will consider staying again

Great stay at this beautiful and charming hotel. The historical look to this castle is picturesque with a beautiful front yard. I was attending a wedding, so the venue is perfect for such occasions! Family rooms are very spacious. Double rooms are fine for a couple but on the smaller side, which is fine for a few days or long weekend. Service is great, breakfast to the room was delivered promptly, and basic amenities such as towels, toilet paper, and tissue were there in our case. Don't forget your slippers as the hotel doesn't provide them. Concierge is not available, and there are a lot of stairs should you need support. Otherwise, I'd request a lower floor. Generally, very clean and staff were very welcoming and helpful!
