Stayed here during June and found it to a wonderful space. Large with plenty of space to relax including a well stocked kitchen.

Nearby walking is amazing and the views are incredible. Local pubs do brilliant food.

Communication throughout the trip was excellent and I look forward to staying again.

We were a mixed group of walkers and off-road cyclists - and we had an amazing time at Castle Cliffe. Obviously the surrounding countryside, Monsal Trail, off-road cycling and walking opportunities, and local eateries were all fantastic. And of course, Castle Cliffe is a great, well placed venue from which to enjoy all those things. The house was well appointed, bedrooms really comfortable, and plenty of facilities available for everyone. Nice touches such as having boiling water on tap for tea and coffee meant that we never had a queue forming in the kitchen. Definitely recommend for a large group!

We had a lovely family Christmas at Castle Cliffe 22-28 Dec 2023. Lovely location, and a splendid house, that is really well suited for large groups (we had 20+ people staying at times, and we were all very comfortable.

Large family holiday. Had a wonderful time. The house is large, very well equipped and in a lovely location with a breathtaking view over Monsal Dale and viaduct. We enjoyed a party celebration in the large dining room, a the barbeque in the garden and walks and trips to surrounding areas. The children had a great time exploring and playing outdoors. Most enjoyable for all. A big thank you to the owners.

A beautiful large house overlooking the Monsal Trail. As a large extended family, ages from 14 to 87, we all had a wonderful time. The comfortable bedrooms all have amazing views. There is a large well-equipped kitchen and dining room. The lounge has plenty of seating for all but there is also a snug for anyone who wants to relax and read or watch television. We have stayed here several times and can still find plenty of walks and new places to visit. Bakewell and Buxton are quite near. We like the Aisseford tea rooms in Ashton in the Water, which it is a short drive away, but we enjoy the walk. We are made very welcome by the owners Neil and Jackie, who always leave home made brownies for their guests. The fresh flowers add to the homely atmosphere. Once again a wonderful holiday, thank you Neil and Jackie

We've been cominbg here every year for 6 years now - big house sleeps 23 of us, in a fantatsic location near Bakewell. Lots of walks nearby, including the disused ralway, and a brillinat traditinal pub 5 minute walk away. The house is very warm, also has an open fire, 2 ovens, and mostly on-suites. Neil & Jackie are great hosts, always contactable, and we love staying here.
