I came for a 2 night visit with my sister following a family wedding in Leicester. There was plenty of parking and despite it being late Lynn met us and directed us to a lovely bright room with an ensuite bathroom. We were amazed at the detail of things placed in the room including fruit, chocolate biscuits and every hot drink you could want. The bed was very comfortable and after a good comfy sleep we went down for breakfast outside under a canopy. There were freshly baked croissants, toast different jams and honey and a good choice of cereals. It helped that the weather was lovely so after a stroll to see the local shops and restaurants we went back for a swim in the lovely heated pool followed by a chill and rest on a sun lounger. As an added bonus there were 2 very friendly dogs to play with. ||I tried to think of what extra Lynn could have provided but didn't find anything. Very satisfied and as its close to the M1 it's very conveniently located and given the chance will definitely be back and highly recommend.

I must admit, after choosing the B&B because of a 9.6 rating on Booking.com I really had high expectations of this place, I wasn’t disappointed. |The owner, Lynn, communicated via email to discuss any requirements and even phoned to check what time we’d arrive to make sure she’d be in. Lynn is one of the friendliest owners you could meet. She even introduced her dogs: a huge mastiff and a Jack Russell. As dog people, that was a highlight of my day! We even met a puppy over breakfast which was so cute! Dogs are kept well away from folk not keen though. |Every single thing about the room is thoughtful: the massive tea selection in the drawers, the mini fridge with fruit juice and fresh milk, the phone charger in the wall, there were even some reading glasses and I found a pair of scissors just when I needed some. The teddies in the cupboard was a nice touch too for when kids stay. |Breakfast was lovely, a tonne of choice - Lynn will make you whatever you like, she discussed with us when we arrived what we would like for breakfast the next day. It was very thoughtful and very well cooked!|I’d wholeheartedly give it a 10/10 and recommend to everyone. I’d happily stay there again. I’d also recommend the Royal Oak a bit further along the road for food, it was lovely. |

We stayed for two nights a family of three in the yellow room. The accommodation and facilities are fantastic the heated pool was so nice. Lynn the host really made our stay special such a lovely lady that really does everything to make your stay perfect. Really enjoyed sitting having breakfast on the patio looking out to the most beautiful garden and pool. My son enjoyed feeding and collecting the chickens eggs,the hammock and playing garden games. We will most definitely be returning.

Lynne is a fantastic host . Rooms are spacious and clean. There are plentiful supplies in way of toiletries, swimming pool accessories as well as snacks and teas. Peggie and Bruno are delightful friendly dogs. Breakfast spread is delicious and aesthetic. We had a great stay. Will book again.

Just driving back home now after spending a few nights here as a small break with my partner and one year old. And I will say everything was perfect, Lyn was such a wonderful host and nothing was too much trouble for her. Lovely clean room which was plenty big enough for us and breakfast was beautifully laid out every morning ready and waiting for us, where we were able to sit outside by the garden and pool which was perfect. Very peaceful and quiet, only positive and kind words from us! Thank you so much for having us, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and if we're back in the area again in the future we would love to come back and stay again. Fantastic bed and breakfast!

Absolutely warm and friendly hosts, the rooms were comfortable, the breakfasts were delicious in the charming backyard. We loved the castle just a two minute walk away. We also loved the pups!

My sister and I had a fabulous weekend here and Lynne was so friendly and helpful. We were amazed at all the thoughtful extras provided, such as apples, oranges, bananas, chocolate biscuit bars, herbal teas, hot chocolate, tea, milk etc etc. She also provided a large fan, books to read, toothpaste, shoe shining kit, cotton wool buds, cotton wool pads, organic lavender shampoo, conditioner, and hand wash, to name just a few. Everything was spotlessly clean. The bed was very comfortable, the continental breakfast fresh and inviting, it had a great heated swimming pool, large well kept garden with sun loungers and all within easy reach of the motorway, pubs, restaurants and shops, so was easy to drive to. I have never ever stayed anywhere where they tried harder to make sure I had a nice time and would gladly stay there again.

Two adults and 10-yr old staying one night in June 2019. Ample free on-site parking, was an initial bonus. We were greeted with a very warm welcome from Lynn, and offered a lovely room (we stayed in the Yellow Room) that was clean and tidy, and extremely well stocked with extras such as towels, soaps and teas/ coffees. The bed was comfortable and as the venue is in a quiet location we all got a good night’s rest; which prepared us well for the most enjoyable breakfast the next morning – all freshly prepared by Lynn. It had lovely grounds that we would have had a stroll in had the weather been better, and the outdoor pool was definitely on our list had it not been having some refurbishment work. Our some also enjoyed the canine presence of Jedi and George! There are several pubs in the immediate area; one next door that we had lunch at. We would highly recommend the venue, and would happily stay again if we were in the area.
