We got married at the Castle Hotel, Tamworth on 28/12/2024 and this is my review of the day . |After a stressful few weeks in the lead up to our wedding due to malicious gossip on social media, I can honestly say from the moment I arrived at lunchtime, Shawn looked after us throughout the day/ evening. Nothing was too much trouble, any questions we had were quickly resolved without issue. All the staff went above and beyond to ensure we all had a truly memorable day, Mark the photographer was excellent and his attention to detail was spot on. Craig the dj kept the dance floor moving all night. The food at the reception and buffet in the evening was first class. I can 100% recommend The Castle Hotel and all the staff for any function you’re attending.|Thank you all for a wonderful day 😊|John Healy

Attended a wedding here in December, we had read a lot of recent bad reviews beforehand. There is no parking on site so had to walk through the town. Heating wasn't great, all areas were freezing and they had to bring in mini heaters - not that it did much. The staff were lovely but some seemed a bit unsure of what they were doing- missing peoples drinks requests etc. There was no soap in the bathroom I had to ask for them to sort this. I didnt end up staying but a lot of people there mentioned how freezing the rooms were too.

I got married on the 12th October and the castle hotel.||The staff went above and beyond to make my day special! Leah was an absolute gem all throughout my planning, constantly reassuring me, and making sure all of the details were completely correct multiple times so things weren’t wrong on the day.||The room decor and the ceremony were amazing. The staff couldn’t have made it any more perfect for us. ||Staff during the meal were amazing with my children interacting with them and making sure they were ok.||Sammy and Sean made my day run very smoothly, making sure I was happy with everything, making sure everything was on time and kept consulting me with what was happening next, as someone with autism I found this very helpful. ||I would highly recommend the castle to anyone, the wedding package is very affordable and everything included is amazing! The bridal suit was very clean and very relaxing, ||Thank you to you all for making my wedding perfect x

I left a good review for yourselves on Facebook and now taken it down. Saying that I have been told by guests now issues that happened throughout the day and I'm not best pleased is an understanment. I have emailed with no reply, I then messaged on Facebook with no reply and now blocked me! ||So we will start with the memory table, I had spoken to Leah at the meeting about this, it was in the file, I also spoke to 2 people on the mornkng to please make sure it's set up for the wedding and I have now found out jake had to quickly set this up because nobody did it, this was a special part of our day having our missed family members with us (as such) and it wasn't done. ||Now we get onto the food. Why on earth were my gluten and dairy free guests given Yorkshire puddings on their roast dinners And then as if that wasn't bad enough they were both given apple crumble and custard for dessert because there was no pineapple that they ordered!! This is a big issue for me!! They aren't fussy they both have servere allergies and they weren't accommodated for even though there was a pre-order and they had both ordered the pineapple so that they could have desert!! One of my friends had to leave my wedding early and has been ill for the week after due to have been given gluten in the gravy!!! Everyone that had tomato soup said it was cold. And then we get onto the arguments/rudeness from staff members!! ||My daughter on top table had cheesecake, she didn't want it in the end so gave it to my sister in law on another table, as my sister in law was eating this a member of staff decided to go up to my sister in law and tell her that the cheesecake wasn't hers, after explaining yea it came from the top table your member of staff continued to argue with her saying it's not hers and it belonged to the table next to her, it did not, it came from the top table, as it happens someone on the next table did not have their dessert of cheesecake "there's none left" now once again a pre order was made and we ordered the right amount for every table, so how was their food missing So again another guest went without dessert. There is no point in making pre orders and going through all the stress of getting pre orders if they aren't going to be followed. We weren't told until our final meeting about a pre order so it was a nightmare trying to get in touch with all guests while having a working life, maybe you should be telling people in advance so they can add it into invites and then you should be making sure everything is correct your end jn the day so guests get their food that has been paid for!! ||Vegetarian food on the buffet, I had 8 vegetarian guests and yet had the smallest platter of vegetarian sandwiches known to man with a sign "vegetarian platter" so again they had to risk other food also no gluten free options. The fact that allergies and vegetarians aren't looked after is worrying! ||My maid of honour bagged up all the left over sweets and they also didn't get put with all boxes. ||Now as I say I thought the staff did an amazing job and thought the day went well but guests are now coming forward and it's quite upsetting that so many of my guests didn't have a good experience. ||I would warn others to stay away!

We had our wedding at the Castle Hotel on 12th October. From the first meeting we had up until the day of the wedding everyone was so helpful, accommodating and nothing was too much trouble.|Leah was always available to answer questions or any queries we had in the lead up to the day. |On the day of the wedding Leah, Sammy and Lydia were all so helpful and friendly and helped the day run as smoothly as possible, they were great with the children who attended and nothing was too much trouble for them.|All the staff were amazing and helped make the day stress fee.|Thank you for everything.

Had my sister in laws wedding here and was absolutely amazing. Can not thank Sammy and Sean and all the staff there for everything they done and did to make day special. They went above and beyond. Had my wedding here on the 14th of September 2024. The run up to the wedding was great, all details taking care off, the day its self was a shambles! From my first interaction with a member of staff on the day of my wedding at 11am, (I was getting married at 12!) which was them telling me my music for walking down the aisle didn't work, all the way to the next day when they lost my wedding cake and ALOT of things in-between! I spent a lot of the day in tears for all the wrong reasons and I have tried tirelessly to get some answers and compensation from the hotel to just be fobbed off and ignored! Please please reconsider this venue for your special day, whilst they do have some really good reviews you may just be getting the version of the hotel me and others received. I have absolutely no intention of marrying again and they have ruined that one special day for me that I will never get back!

Had our wedding 28/12/24, what an amazing day we had, staff could not of been more helpful , the reception team, waiting staff and don’t know what to say about Shawn he was simply the best, he stayed throughout the whole day making our day perfect went above and beyond, and Mark the photographer and Craig the DJ Thankyou so much, the food was amazing , highly recommend for your wedding please see for yourselves and do not believe all the negatives from people with a vengeance.
