We were looking to book a lunch for 19 people on a Monday for our U3A History group. Many pubs are now normally closed on a Monday, so was the Castle Inn.However because we were a large group they opened for us and we pre-ordered. ||We organise trips every month and without doubt this was one of the best lunches ever . Service was very friendly and efficient , When we arrived informed that all 19 meals would be served in 15 minutes ... and they were ... so credit for excellent communication! ||When food arrived it was well presented and delicious.Our group has lunched out frequently over the last 3 years .So to please everyone was a great achievement . Good luck to the Castle Inn for providing such good luck and we will return next Spring |Trevor Shaw Dene Valley U3A

Authentic excellent quality Italian food served by thoroughly nice staff.|You can sit by a fire or dine in the conservatory. Great open to view pizza oven!|I recommend The Castle and we will certainly be dining there again.

I visited here as I fancied some good carbs guilt free! I previously had Polo Milanese and was very disappointed this scrummy dish had been taken off the menu! Nonetheless I settled for a spinach and ricotta starter (very large portion, one would be enough for two to share) and then a pizza - afterall I had travelled all the way from Norwich ;). The pizzas are very nicely made- fresh and again they are a generous portion. The staff seemed a bit tense and distracted at times however the service was OK, we were quite happy to be left alone. As always, I'd return again.

A quick phone call confirmed tables were available, The Castle food is well worth the drive. An Italian inspired menu and "specials" board is fairly comprehensive and caters for all tastes. Our starters of Calamari from the specials board and creamy mushrooms in a blue cheese sauce were divine. We then went on to the seafood tagliatelle and a Penne pasta very rich and delicious, and the best Italian food I have tasted in a very long time, and very good service.

This was a surprise for my birthday. We had seen the menu and wasn't sure but thought we would give it ago. So glad we did the food was amazing and excellent service. We tried three of the starters that we didn't think we would like and they were fantastic. The cold pork isn't actually cold so don't be put off. That was the best one.

I needed somewhere to stay at the last minute and this place came up, very reasonably priced. I wasn’t expecting a lot, but the rooms were amazing, TV, shower, tea and coffee facilities etc. The shower was great, the bed was so comfortable. ||The owner was such a lovely lady and would go out her way to make your stay more comfortable if it needed to be. Very, very, very impressed. And meet her dog Marlo! Beautiful! Thanks so much Castle Sleeper and Inn. Great Stay!

Very nice, few different areas to sit, had a chicken roast with all the trimmings very tasty, nice rooms for dining, long bar, staff friendly and helpful. Varied menu of starters mains and desserts.|Our meals were hot, vegetables cooked to perfection, roast potatoes were fantastic, lots of chicken too.

First off, this pub is next to an abandoned railway line in Caldecott, in the Welland Valley, near the Rutland border, miles from Market Harbough! It's a lovely pub and offers pizza as a main part of the menu. The margarita suggests tomatoe, mozzarella and fresh basil. This is what I wanted and went as far as to ask whether fresh basil was available. With confirmation confirmed and it arrived without expected basil, I was less than pleased. The whole experience was under whelming. Pity really, I like pizza!
