An absolutely delightful stay in this beautiful period house, which is exquisitely decorated in 18th/19th Century style yet very comfortable. From a practical point of view, it has parking, is a about two minutes from the centre of the town, and easy to find. The breakfast is excellent. Jenny and Robin are very good hosts who take great care of their guests. The beautiful house is set behind a white gate in a sort of "secret garden" and the whole experience made me feel as if I was on a Jane Austen film set ! However,there is wi fi and it's spotlessly clean, and really devoted to the comfort of the guests. Unquestionably the best b and b I have ever stayed in.

Stayed here for 2 nights while in Ely on business. This a beautiful old house that serves as a delightful B&B. I stayed in the main house and had a bedroom, bathroom and lounge area all to myself. Very comfortable with traditional decor, an absolute gem. I was in a hurry for breakfast so Jenny kindly prepared me delicious sausage sandwiches to take away each morning. There is plenty of parking outside and the location is so central that you can walk to all the attractions, restaurants and pubs within a couple of minutes. Would definitely recommend!

We stayed in a comfortable room one flight up (Americans call it the second floor; Britons call it the first floor). The bathroom rocks a 50s vibe, with a large tub but no shower. Jenny and Robin are friendly hosts, and offer a cooked-to-order breakfast, plus fresh fruit salad and cereals. Breakfast was jolly all three mornings we were there, as we had charming conversations with our fellow guests, as well as with Robin and Jenny. Cathedral House is right in the center of Ely, 5 minutes (or less) from the Cathedral. Also convenient to the High Street and Market Street with their standard shops (Boots, etc. as well as local businesses). We parked off-street at their gate and left our car there during our entire time in Ely.

We stayed at Cathedral House for 2 nights. A delightfully large house, with a wonderful stairs!|Our room was exceptionally clean and so comfortable, with a view into the garden and beyond.|There was a large choice of food offered at breakfast. Fresh fruit, fruit juice, cereal, yogurt followed by a cooked breakfast, with toast, tea or coffee. |It was such a delight to be near so many places, with a good rail link in Ely.|We ventured to Cambridge one if the days, which was more than worth the visit. Jenny, our host, mentioned the City sightseeing bus, and this too helped us to see much more.|Ely is a delightful City and the Cathedral is magnificent. There are walks by the river and lots of restaurants to choose from.|It is well worth a visit.

Lovely place to stay. Really couldn’t be more central. The breakfast was excellent and Jenny and Robin are great hosts as well as being very knowledgeable. The rooms are comfortable and the location quiet. Just be aware that the baths are small with hand held showers. We were in the coach house which is ideal for self catering as everything is provided.

What a wonderful find! Beyond a modest wooden door around the corner from the cathedral lies a very stylish B&B. The rooms are neatly put together (we loved the old-fashioned radio) and the sumptuous breakfast was served with a fascinating helping of knowledge from the very friendly hosts Robin and Jenny, who know the area so well and gave us a number of recommendations that we followed. Our visit came in February so we couldn’t make use of the garden, but all the more reason to return one summer. Off-street parking just by the aforementioned wooden door. Nearby Camra pubs the West End and the Prince Albert proved well worth a visit.

Cathedral House is located right in the centre of Ely but in a quiet location and is a beautiful period house. Nicely furnished room in an old-fashioned style, with en-suite bath (hand-shower only). Our hosts coped well with our early start and breakfast was delicious (we went for a continental option being short of time but it included fresh fruit salad, yoghurt etc as well as toast etc). We were even given a lift to the station which was a great bonus. Our only slight quibble was that inevitable problem with and old house with large windows on cold, windy March days: the room wasn't very warm, despite both radiators being hot. That said, there were spare blankets and, the beds were comfortable and warm,

I visited Ely with my family and as were visiting the Cathedral we found a table outside at this restaurant. I ordered a scone and an iced coffee. The iced coffee I had to send back as it was so bitter and the cheese scone tasted like it had been heated up in the microwave - and on the bottom of the scone it was very rubbery. Such a shame as the grounds were beautiful but not sure I would go back.
