A very enjoyable stay! Just steps away from Lincoln Cathedral, on a quiet street. A very comfortable room with a wonderful walk-in shower. Delicious cooked-to-order breakfast and lovely hosts. I would absolutely recommend this guest house to anyone who loves historical buildings and wants to get a feel for this lovely city.

Great position for visits to cathedral & castle. (2 min walk to either) Bedroom small but extremely cosy, comfortable and well supplied. Excellent shower. Breakfast first class and plenty of it. Good choice. ||Surprisingly, Cathedral bells didn't bother us at all. Rather soothing. |Would definitely recommend. ||Cathedral astounding. Worth a tour. |Finally, on last night found good food at The Wig and Mitre. 2 mins towards town on right.

My room was super comfy, it was spotless and cosy. The bathroom was immaculate. My breakfast was delicious and I was utterly spoilt for choice, I would like to thank Hayley and Paul for their warm welcome and care while I was with them. The location couldn't be more ideal, I was perfectly comfortable and perfectly placed.

Fantastic location in this most interesting city and very helpful and friendly staff. The room was very comfortable with an excellent ensuite and plenty of hanging and drawer space. It was really useful having onsite parking (although, given the narrow access, I must remember not to get a car that's any wider!!!)|There was a terrific range of options for breakfast, all very good indeed and produced most efficiently. A thoroughly enjoyable stay!

From booking to checking out, the hosts and staff are so warm and welcoming. Cathederal View is so conveniently situated for all that Lincoln has to offer. The onsite parking is also a valuable asset to this gem.The accommodation is spotlessly clean throughout. The rooms are very warm and cosy. The beds are so comfortable. We slept like logs! The breakfast choices are many and served with a smile and a chat. It was our third visit and we hope to visit again soon. Our sincere thanks.

We stayed 6 nights in room 5, located on the first floor. The stairs are steep but handrails well-placed, so fear not, but this is definitely not the room choice if mobility is a problem. I would advise emailing in advance; Paul answered my queries quickly before we chose our room. I'm fairly certain other rooms would be better accessible if stairs are an issue.| Room 5 consists of a front sitting room with windows above Eastgate. These have a view of the towers of the cathedral rising above the White Hart Hotel, just across the street. The bedroom faces the rear, with a large window overlooking the car park, which is small and can provide some entertainment in itself by watching guests maneuvering their cars, sometimes with Paul's help. There are some trees in sight, it is not a bleak view.| The bathroom is situated between the 2 rooms. As others have stated, it is very small. After my initial despair at the size, I found workarounds and was satisfied. The shower doors are well-designed, so there was no overspray or leakage on the minimal floor area.| After our first night, we requested an additional lamp and a multiplug extension cord, which Paul readily supplied.| Breakfast is nicely done, served between 0830-0930. | The location is superb. We had friends join us over the weekend, who stayed at The Duke William. They reported that noise on the street below their room was disruptive. We heard no crowd noises at all from our room. | I highly recommend Cathedral View Guest House. Paul was open to my suggestions to improve the room itself, within the limitations of an ancient building. The lighting in the bathroom was a challenge for grooming; I suspect Paul will have mounted a mirror on a wall somewhere in either room for natural light before too long. | Overall, we had a most enjoyable stay and if Lincoln is in our future plans, we will return to Cathedral View.

Beautifully warm room (on a very cold January night). Comfortable bed, good en-suite and very friendly and helpful hosts. Great location with parking in beautiful Lincoln close to the Cathedral and very tasty breakfast. Would definitely go again and recommend.

Lovely old place to stay, we stayed in room 7. Beware of the height of the exposed original 12 century beams. Exceptionally clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent and was served in the dining room which boasts original stonework and flag floor. Great location sited at the top of Steep Hill and some views of the Cathedral.Definitely worth a recommendation and would stay there again
