Just returned home from a brilliant stay at the Cave and I feel I must write a review on this stunning hotel !
I don't want to give to much away as this hotel is truly unique as in style, decor and location, it really is on another level.
The food is possibly the best I've ever eaten as I'm a huge fan of smoked food and had a brilliant chat the next morning to Andy the Master Smoker who smoke's the meats for many hours, so thanks Andy you were so helpful and obliging.
Our room was large, very clean, spacious and ticked every box we even had a balcony overlooking the 1st tee and 18th green, brilliant if your like me a fan of golf!
Bathroom was something else with a wet room and huge bath all in a superb decor.
All staff in all locations were wonderful and all so very helpful, so thank you everyone for making our stay, ( it was my wife's birthday) such a memorable and lovely stay.
We will stay again and definitely visit the Korean Cowgirl as the food was simply out of this world!

Very lovely room and staff were spot on! I stayed in room 112. However the spa area could have been a little better ie the fireplace wasn’t working (apparently) and the steam room was cold, the button didn’t seem to do much. Other than that it was lovely experience. Cowgirl restaurant was lovely.

We had a really nice stay for my 21st birthday, the concierge named Emmanuel was brilliant! Very kind and helpful, definitely went the extra mile for us. We stayed one night in the signature suite, and another in the junior suite (as the signature suite was fully booked for the second night of our stay). The signature suite was beautiful, very spacious and nice, the golf course was great and the staff at the golf course were really kind. The pool was very cute, however the gym is extremely small. Additionally, other concierges were not as kind and our second night stay in the junior suite was not great, the water was not hot at all (the day or the night), and the fire place was broken. We did let the reception know, however this was ignored. Could have definitely been better, given the price point and the fact that it was my 21st birthday.

I recently stayed at the Cave Hotel, and it was an absolutely delightful experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff were warm and welcoming, making check-in smooth and hassle-free. The room was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had all the modern amenities one could need. What really stood out was the calm atmosphere — perfect for a relaxing getaway. The on-site restaurant served delicious meals, and the breakfast was incredible. I left feeling refreshed and thoroughly satisfied with my stay. Highly recommend!

We had an absolutely awful experience during our stay, thanks to Megan at the reception. Within just 10 minutes of checking in, we received a call from her accusing us of smoking in the room and threatening to kick us out if it continued. This was completely untrue, as we don’t smoke at all—let alone marijuana, which she specifically mentioned. To make matters worse, she didn’t even bother to come and check the room herself before making such baseless accusations.

Her behavior throughout our stay was rude and unprofessional. We were traveling with our dog, and instead of being welcoming, she constantly gave us judgmental and condescending looks. It was incredibly uncomfortable and made us feel unwelcome.

To top it off, she made a racist remark when she told us, “You should’ve checked out on time.” Her tone and attitude were inappropriate and disrespectful. This should all be on the phone recording for room 211 and visible on CCTV footage if anyone cares to investigate.

Megan’s behavior is unacceptable, and if the hotel cares about its guests, they should seriously reconsider her employment. This experience completely ruined our stay, and I would strongly caution others against staying here if this is how guests are treated.

I had a lovely stay here for my birthday. The staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming. The check-in process was easy, and I had a glass of Prosecco on arrival. The room was beautiful, clean, and spacious. We had a nice view of the golf course from our balcony. The spa and hot tub were relaxing, and the food at the Korean Cowgirl restaurant was delicious. The holding payment you pay on arrival can be used for food and drinks at the on-site restaurant or spa. I highly recommend this hotel for a relaxing getaway.

Stayed here at the end of October and booked a junior suite. The room was not as big as we would have thought it would be compared to the price. But that wasn’t the main problem. On the first night I was sat on the sofa watching tv and as I was getting ready to go the pool I was trying to find my room key. As I moved the decorative pillows I found a dirty pair of underwear with a period pad in them which is a huge health and safety breach. I contacted the front desk immediately who assisted and was really helpful (thank you Adam) it was the aftermath that was the problem. I wanted to be refunded at least 1 night of the stay and they kept on refusing. I paid just under £1000 for a hotel which I would have caught some kind of std from. The director of the hotel shut the situation down quickly and stopped responding to emails. I have now opened a case with trading standards who are currently investigating the matter

Stayed at the hotel 3 times before - fantastic.
Played golf previous occasions - fantastic.
Golf this time - Dreadful Experience!!!

Was not informed at start of day that Golf buggy’s were only allowed in specific areas of the course. Shortly into the round - buggy kept stopping, would only allow us to move in reverse. After contacting Mitch at club shop - he informed me he had reset the buggy to VIP - to allow buggy to work. Shortly after the phone call - buggy stopped working again, reset the screen and lost our scores. After explaining to Mitch that this had ruined the afternoon / round, he had outright said he will not compensate but will offer a half price round if we came back to club shop. I sent Mitch videos on the area I was in when buggy stopped working, he claimed I was too close to the tee box - I was on the footpath. Will not return again for hotel or golf as this has ruined my experience. Will also be finding another course for our Christmas work charity game - 40 people.

Not happy at all. Feel let down and disappointed in the customer service provided.
